I am not sure the 90 minutes from the Airport to Ballarat is that much more of a burden than the 45 minutes into the city from the Airport.

    Refereeing decisions

Look, most feeds could technically be called crooked but usually the feeding team at least make a perfunctory attempt to make look like they need to hook. This one was just such a blatant feed to the second row that the Ref had little choice but to call it. It is one thing to push the boundaries...

    Refereeing decisions

While not relevant in this situation, the player dumped being either a half-back or winger should be sufficient mitigation.

    Refereeing decisions

The first was a swinging arm and collected the side of the head. I have no issue with the yellow card for that one the player was going down so it was only a yellow, all good. The second I thought was not as bad and had it been the first incident may have gotten away with a penalty. However, it...

Watching the game I thought they both should have got a red. I know it kills the game as a contest but those sort of tackles are exactly the reason we have red cards. It was an unbelievably dangerous tackle. They should both play no further part in the WC.

If you could change the laws of rugby, what would you change?

I also believe in bringing back rucking, up to a point. That point being of course if either a winger or a half decides to get involved in the breakdown. Then they should be fair game for a bit of rucking. Few things bring a smile to a front rowers face more than seeing a little fella spat out...

If you could change the laws of rugby, what would you change?

I agree on the deliberate knock on with the exception of the case of the failed intercept. An attempt at an intercept cannot be considered negative play in fact it is the complete opposite. If a player goes for a realistic intercept and fluffs it that should not be a penalty just a knock on. The...

If you could change the laws of rugby, what would you change?

Rolling mauls are the area that I think need the most work. Now, I like any other low numbered god, love a well executed rolling maul. However, as it stands they are almost impossible to defend legally. This is why they are the go to for most sides when they have a penalty on attack. The scrum...

If you could change the laws of rugby, what would you change?

I would like to modify iv) a little to be: If a half back, he is fair game to be smashed. I think that would improve the game greatly for all. Maybe not so much for the half backs but we all secretly know they would love it, the feisty little scamps.

James showed the rest of the front row fraternity that he could lift and still play the Kazoo wedged between his cheeks at the same time.

So our backrow is based on Hooper, Isi and a lock who is a totally ineffective 6 or a choice of one of two guys who have the resilience of a blancmange. Now, I have a little bit of a man crush on Pocock but I won't be holding my breath on him staying fit through the world cup. Or maybe I will...

I feel most sorry for Luke Jones given about 10 minutes across two tests to push his case and then pushed out for the third test. He should be given the start in the Samoa game. What money though on him not even in the Samoa squad?

The one advantage of having KB (Kurtley Beale) at fullback is it will make the opposition attack far more predictable, they will be tempted to put up bomb after bomb knowing at some stage he will drop it. Out of all the fullback options he is by far the weakest under the high ball. He does offer a little more...

Latu and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) are the problems for me. Latu has a 2 cent head and while he could do something brilliant he could also have a massive brain fart and lose us a game. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is just not the player he used to be and simply has not impressed this year at all.

Liam Wright at 8 is just picking the Pooper with all the problems that entails without the advantages that Pocock gives you. The only reason you would do it is because Hooper is not a fetcher so you put a fetcher at 8 rather than a line bender. We should have 4 possible lineout targets, so to me...
