    Rebels 2018

Wonderful ... I'm in the US this week and the stream is region blocked. Why on earth would it be region blocked?

    Rebels 2018

Sounds good although finding a time for us to all do it online may be challenging.

    Rebels 2018

Does that apply to all clubs or just the Rebels because I think you would find some pretty big sporting clubs across pretty much all sports that don't break even (e.g. most NRL clubs, about half of the English Premium League, most of the French rugby clubs and the Queensland Reds) but I'm sure...

    Rebels 2018

What do you count as meaningful? Crowds for the Rebels are obviously lower than the Red and Tahs but not really that much lower given the shit performances and the much greater support for rugby union in those areas. The team is producing Wallabies (Koriobete, Hodge, Sefa, Uelese, McMahon)...

From our coach. Definitely worth a read. https://www.playersvoice.com.au/dave-wessels-when-rugby-changed-a-nation/

https://www.scotsman.com/sport/rugby-union/scotland/australia-s-jack-maddocks-takes-road-less-travelled-to-top-1-4620776 I think missing Aus Schoolboys is an understatement. Missing the third XV at Scots College is more accurate ...

    Rebels 2018

But how can that be. According to some people on the internet, the Rebels are so far above the cap that it is almost criminal (apparently).

    Rebels 2018

Bloody well hope so. He had so much potential and then seemed (along with many others) to be stifled under TT. Really happy that he is back.

    Rebels 2018

Ah, we should just let him go. Most of the team is around for 2018/19 and no one wants to change fly half after a year.

Glad to hear that Rugby is strong in WA and I hope that it continues strong until RA come to their senses and work out how to have a WA team in whatever competition we end up with. I don't think that Rugby would die in Melbourne - it would just continue under the radar producing players every so...

    Rebels 2018

The fallacy as I see it about the size of Melbourne is that while it is the bridesmaid of Australian cities in terms of size, the absolute number of rugby supporters in the city doesn't fill me with confidence that rugby will ever be sustainable there. On the other hand, I think that only one of...

    Rebels 2018

Look, I'll have to disagree. Melbourne is much larger than Perth in population. The Storm have shown that a successful non-AFL team can thrive in the Melbourne market. Part of the issue is that RA have no idea how to launch teams in new markets and should really be looking at how the AFL has...

    Rebels 2018

Tex, you are missing the point. It is ok when established areas take on players from less established regions (Lealiifano, Valetini, Coleman, Godwin, Ulugia, Fitter, Johansson, McKenzie) but it isn't ok when the less established regions take on players from the established regions.

    Rebels 2018

The Storm seem to do alright and League is a lot less embedded in Melbourne than Union.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Any thoughts on the South Africans? The crowds for the Pro14 teams have been very poor (the Cheetahs started out ok but dropped quickly). – Cheetahs – 13,982 v Zebre, 6,980 v Leinster, 4,589 v Ospreys, 5,964 v Glasgow, 3,648 v Edinburgh, 3,457 v Scarlets – Kings – 3,011 v Leinster, 4,062 v...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Pretty easy for SuperRugby - stop playing NZ so much.

    Australian Rugby / RA

I wonder if any of the very recent goodish news - with the non chasing of the WA Rugby debt etc - is linked to her coming in. It would be one of the first bloody obvious things that most of us would do if we came in.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Also interesting to see the Pro 14 crowds for the SA home games seemed to have stabilised at about 3500. I suspect that they were looking for higher numbers than that ...

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

Bwahahahahaha .... The sad sad situation that the Tahs are the best example that Australian Rugby has of a well run team. It is hard to deny but #@&$ me

    Reds 2018

It is actually worse than that. If they don't release him or he is unable to find alternate employment due to the extremely late culling then he probably won't play rugby next year at a decent level. This could have a long term impact on his future value as a rugby player and could result in a...
