Newington Old Boy Opeti Helu was named in the Japanese League 1 team of the year alongside Malcolm Marx, Bernard Foley, Faf de Klerk, Kwagga Smith and Pieter-Steph du Toit. Thats 2 years in a row for Helu.

Just quietly the 13A game between Joeys and Shore will be a good one to watch. Shore has a big aggressive pack while Joey's pack is solid with a couple of gun backs in the 5/8 and OC. Both put about 40 on Knox.

Goddard is immense as a TH, super strong, and Mckinnon is very underrated at loose, strong, fit and ran down a Joey's winger to save a try. Probably has a superior work rate. Both played Australia A last year.

Well Wav's beat View 3s, Knox just lost to Shore 10-5 Barker lost by 29 to New and Knox had about 27 point loss to Joeys. That all means nothing as we have no idea how any of those other teams sit. Having said that Shore are a vastly improved rugby school across the board, the 13As belted Knox...

New by 33 - 7 in the end apparently as Knox faded, although it was their fourth game in 11 days so understandable.

That was Knox fourth game in 11 days after their trip to NZ, so the boys were knackered, with a couple of injuries in the backrow still i believe. Knox strength is up front with depth a huge problem in the backs. Always good to have a hit out against New though.

I thought it was the 1990 Joeys team that was the ducks nuts leaking only one try? didn't they have Jorgo, Burke, Fay and possibly a Kelaher? From memory 14/15 played NSW but Scott Bowen got the nod ahead of Fay.

Kicked a last minute sideline conversion to beat Knox in the u16s. Turinui was kind enough to remind everyone at the Knox rugby lunch.

Kox 31- Auggies 10 in the final of the Warringah Sevens. Unfortunately most school teams pulled out at the last minute for some reason so Knox and St Augs put in two teams each.

Big question is what happens to the assistants? Brumbies will be pissed if they are dumped with nowhere to go except overseas.

Shame top see how many of the great NSW U16 team were named in the emerging origin squad, some real talent lost again. Having said that, some great players left as well. Wondering why Tom Goddard was the starting half while Teddy Wilson has a NSW contract? Thought Goddard and Morrison were very...

That is 100% wrong re Knox swimming. In fact it is laughably absurd. The Knox swim program does have a couple of swimmers on benefit (the same as Trinity and Barker and Cranbrook) but the swim program is exactly that, a great program built over years with great coaches.

They will have Hall on one wing and he is faster than Sherlock already. Also have Morrison and Allen coming back from injury in the forwards but inside backs definitely an issue, although with Enasio likely to move to IC they will have some go forward.

How many of the Barker and Waverley teams will be back for 23? Knox has four up front and 1 back I believe, plus a few 2nds players who featured during the year. Having said that i think their forwards will be stronger next year. No superstar in the backs and possibly a question over 5/8 but...

I know it has been discussed here before but if you have a league contract why on earth are they wasting space on ARU Pathway teams for someone who has defected. Cash and spaces are limited so if you have committed elsewhere then bring through the boys who want to play rugby, don't waste...

NRL Scouts and Barker coaches are fuelling up the Landcruiser's and heading out there now. On a bright note the Telegraph today claimed the ARU has won the race for Max Jorgenson.
