    NSW AAGPS 2024

1 title in the last 23 years and only 5 players in the entire 53 man CAS squad last year, same as Aloys. It would be awesome if they were more competitive apart from the occasional one-off game, but sadly they are struggling to put teams on the park.

At least he is here for the 2024 season so the new coach has time to work on options. I think it is more about teaching other wingers to build their work rate off the ball, Marky M (Nawaqanitawase) and Marika are the best at that. If we end up with Joe Schmidt he plays a very structured style anyway, which suits...

    NSW AAGPS 2024

Those sports are summer for a start and waterpolo is popular, even if 10-15 years ago it didn't really exist. Sound familiar? PLC Pymble has around 75 registered rugby players and growing, thats 75 better than 0. Women's participation is up 10% overall and the schools and clubs are just getting...

    NSW AAGPS 2024

Newington has a 30-year agreement for Tempe fields and is pumping millions into upgrading the drainage, lighting and even putting in a synthetic pitch. Newington already has far more school-based playing fields than Scots or Cranbrook before that. Why would resources be diluted? everyone is...

If you looked at the half time stats against SA you would've thought we were up by 20! All the ball and field position. The SA defence was very good but the Aus attack was shite, just continual looping and switches that Hellen Keller could read. The hail mary was throw it to Palmer and hope he...

Agree completely. Everyone says the rugby will drop but the women's rugby will take off (and rowing and football etc). This is a great opportunity for the sport to expand training alongside an established rugby program will only be beneficial. I actually think the boys program will improve...

    Wallabies 2024

Ryan Lonergan. Great pass, excellent goal kicker, solid defence, captain material and the type of no-nonsense player we need to get back on track. With a backline that will be short on leaders i think he is a very solid pick as someone to build on for the next WC.

30 in Jan, so will be 33 next WC should he stay in Australia. But picking up a few injuries. We do need him to mentor the next gen.

Uni must be really pissed about last years colts effort and gone hard on the recruiting.

De Lutiis is the future, but needs a few years of experience. Him and Will Goddard in the U18s mean we will have some good scrummaging props in the next few WCs. Right now AAA and Slips are getting old and four years is a long time. Schoupp has only had one season of Sper rugby so will be...

    Wallabies 2024

Josh Canham. Had a good season last year, very tall but could do with a couple of more kgs. With a number of 2nd rowers moving on we need to bring a few more through and he reminds me of Courtney Laws.

Outside the box. List RA and let fans buy shares and have voting rights (cap on how much anyone can buy to stop people from certain North Sydney schools trying to buy up too much to maintain the status quo). Would raise a few bucks and create more oversight on board and executive spending.

Mitch Woods has signed with the Bulldogs. Very talented kid with a lot of options.

Thats a great deal. Will get an awesome skills foundation and high-level experience before being thrown against the big men. They should get some of these young 5/8s to do the same thing.

The club tradition is great if it Rats v Manly, or East v Randwick or anyone v Uni but there is no tribalist tradition for Eastwood v Brothers. Then if they try to hold the semis and GF in some empty cauldron of a ground it will just kill everything. NSW Rugby and RA need to support these home...

They couldnt compete anyway. VIC and WA are not SS or Hospital Cup standard and while the ACT is improving there is a way to go yet. It serves no good to anyway to get done by 70 points each week.

    Australian Rugby / RA

The ACT has done a pretty good job of spreading the talent load across the clubs, which has lead to a tight comp and multiple winners in the last few years. When they had a team in the SS though a lot of players saw the Vikings as their best chance to get noticed. Same will happen here when boys...

Herbert said they are still working through it but hard to see how Vic and WA could be involved unless it is a rep side. Tuggeranong could support a great team in ACT as they have more money than RA but it would destroy the local comp.

SO Herbert has said the third tier will happen but has to be club based (and could start next year). Sounds good in principal but broke clubs run by amateurs with no financial support from a licensed clubhouse or any ownership of their home ground makes no sense. Also how do standards improve if...
