Anyone who watched easts vs norths the other week. How did the scrums go? I believe the easts front row is virtually the qld A front row (parake, ready, sanday) and from reports I heard earlier in the season the norths front row was very young (2 colts and Maafu). Did easts dominate the scrums?

What happens to the team that has the bye in the trials? Do they 1. Play Logan 1st Grade 2. Arrange a separate trial against another rugby club (I.e Gold Coast or sunny coast club team) 3. Don't play at all And how is it decided who gets the bye? Qru or club nomination?

Yeah definetly agree with you BigDog. I suppose that's something the clubs would have to work out. But maybe you're right in saying that bigger and more financial sponsors would jump on board knowing that there was potential of a broadcasting deal with FoxSports

I may be barking up the wrong tree but what would be wrong with 3 QRU teams in this comp. Each team made up of 3 premier clubs and then Queensland country players divided amongst the 3 teams. Say for example: North: Brothers, GPS, Norths Central: Uni, Wests, Easts South: Sunnybank, Souths, Gold...

Definetly think franchise would be the way to go. It'd be unfair on players who have a cracking season not in a top 4 club miss out due to not playing for the right club. Could we see: Team 1: Brothers, GPS, Norths Team 2: Uni, Wests, Easts Team 3: Sunnybank, Souths, Gold Coast

About 5 or so we're named in the Brumbies u/20 squad.

In watching a few padua games, most of they're 15s forwards were in fact bigger than the firsts forwards and with them winning a premiership, you would expect most of them to progress to 1st XV
