    QLD Premier Rugby 2016

Not that it relates to this forum, but rugby is still alive and well at Marist. There are a lot of quality junior players running around hence the strong showing of GPS in the junior ranks. League if offered is an extra not a replacement for the AIC competition. Perhaps an attempt to stop the...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2016

I say good on Norths for having a crack at trying to attract better players to their club. Something has to be done, otherwise they will continue to struggle. As for GPS you reap what you sow. Perhaps a bit of loyalty to long standing club coaches and you wouldn't have half the team leaving for...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2016

Since the merger between junior and senior clubs at GPS, it appears that the senior club is unaware there are juniors at the club. Higher fees, less in return for those higher fees, for example the lack of pendants for juniors, club uniforms. Upon witnessing the attempt to firmly establish a...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

GPS is a semi professional set up as it is. Apart from the boys loyal to their schools who see the bigger picture of what school actually is, all the talent is poached up by the GPS schools. Pretty simple really.

    Queensland Junior Rugby

You hit the nail on the head. There are many talented young rugby players inspired to make the City teams next year after watching this years games. Moving forward, there are a couple of cracking games in the under 13 BJRU competition next weekend. The quality of the division 1 competition has...

    AIC Rugby 2015

It was a great game, both teams were very good. A very dedicated bunch of kids and coaches turned the team around.

Perhaps some of you blokes should worry about your own back yards. Everybody has a story of bias refs, it happens everywhere and is one of the oddest things when grown men deliberately try to influence games played by kids. It is a good thing that Ashgrove doesn't win every game in every grade...

    AIC Rugby 2015

I think the premierships were as follows: 7A Ashgrove and Villa 8A Ashgrove 14 St Pats and Lauries 15 Ashgrove 16 Padua 1st Padua 2nds Ashgrove Excellent day at Lauries with all games played at one location. Very good atmosphere and excellent crowds. Good model for next year.

    AIC Rugby 2015

I see an old post regarding the 8A competition. Both Ashgrove and Lauries are undefeated (Ash drew with Padua) and face each other this weekend to decide the premiers. St Patrick's are third with two losses, followed by Padua, Iona and the rest. Good competition without scholarships.

    AIC Rugby 2015

As an Ashgrove supporter with a son running around at the school, I congratulate Padua and St Patrick's on the strength of their rugby programs. Apart from the 1st and 2nd XV, not one Marist side had a single trial game to prepare for the season. Compared to the other schools, the preparation...
