Or that their insurer pays for it, which is what RA have said. The insurer probably also strong influenced the settlement decision

    Rebels 2020

The problem isn't just missing the finals. The problem is that we won 7 games divided into two parts - winning the first 3 games against the brumbies twice and the highlanders (who rested some players) before the Rebels game plan was worked out - winning 4 games out of the remaining 13...

Rd 18: Rebels Vs Chiefs - AAMI Park, Friday 14/06 7:45pm

3 wins this season in the first 3 games - before the game plan was worked out 4 wins in the final 13 games against the bottom 2 teams in the competition 9 loses against everyone else Definite F for the season

    Rebels 2020

Coleman has had minimal impact on the team. There is no way that we would pay enough for Cooper particularly after his display last night. Genia is a loss but I wouldn’t mind having a half who didn’t do mindless kicks Koriobete is also a loss when he is playing well We chop and change players...

    Rebels 2020

Well on to next year ... I have to say I preferred the years where we got 7 wins as scrappy underdogs. I’m assuming after tonight we won’t be offering Quade a huge contract to stay. Sigh

    Rebels 2019

Didn’t quite win that one hey. Had family issues so missed the first 15 minutes. Left after 65 minutes and missed the Rebels try as we were in the lift. To have so many players with so much international experience and to play so cluelessly in so many games is incredibly frustrating. Not...

Well maybe but he is playing a hell of a lot better for a NZ team. And he isn’t the first player to have been relatively average in Australia and improved dramatically in NZ

Guarantee they only beat the Brumbies as it was early in the season and their game plan hadn’t been worked out until week 4. Wins in the first three weeks before their game plan is worked out and then can only beat the Sunwolves and the Reds. Very poor from a coaching and strategic game plan...

I saw one Rebel have a very good game tonight. Unfortunately he was an ex Rebel who wasn’t good enough and now will be playing in the finals

    The Israel Folau saga

I’m sure that if in the code of conduct hearing he said - the post is down - sorry shouldn’t have done it - won’t do it again - happy to have posts review before they go live (hey this is a stretch but it is reported that he said that to the NRL - probably not true) Then RA would have said...

It is really easy. His word is as good for as long as he doesn’t break it.

    Rebels 2020

And that is exactly our problem and what has happened this year. We won the first 3 games against the Brumbies and the Highlanders before we could get analysed. Since then, we have only beaten the Sunwolves and the Reds twice - that is the bottom two teams in the whole competition. Every...

    The Israel Folau saga

Oh there are a lot more people who have been sacked for social media posts. These ones are just the more prominent or interesting ones. Here is another five with various outcomes - https://www.smartcompany.com.au/people-human-resources/social-media-five-unfair-dismissal-cases-lessons/

    Rebels 2020

Coleman has been pretty anonymous since he joined the Rebels. Genia has been incredibly hot and cold. Koriobete would be a big loss. He has played really well for the second half of the season - after being anonymous for the first half of the season. Really though, the fundamental problem...

    The Israel Folau saga

Actually it does. It keeps on being reported that Folau doesn't know what he did wrong and he didn't understand around what they expected from him with regards to social media. The letter is pretty bloody clear that he did understand and confirmed that he made a verbal commitment to play nice...

    The Israel Folau saga

Does that also include Angela Williamson fired by Cricket Australia for her tweets around abortion? There was little support for her from the right wing cheerleaders (although note that Andrew Bolt said that this was a massive over reaction) Even less support for Scott McIntyre fired by SBS for...

    The Israel Folau saga

Quite possibly. Of course most of them will be hoping that his legal challenge fails miserably as if it does send RA under, then they would all be out of a job. At best there would be a few million less in the kitty for player payments.

    The Israel Folau saga

You don’t think that maybe his articulation of this made it clear that he understood that it was not appropriate what he said and that he wouldn’t do it in future and that led to RA deciding to resign. I’m sure if he came out with his current view and made it public, he wouldn’t have been signed.

    Rebels 2019

Currently the equal most wins of a season. Ok the team is better but at least there have been some wins
