    Australian Rugby / RA

Think the Lions tour gets them through. Also an expected raise in broadcast revenue deal because of the Tour and WC.

    Aussie Player Exodus

    Force could use him.

    Wallabies 2024

I agree - we have numbers but its more of a logjam of average players hoping to get a shot - BUT, Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) went from below average to wallaby star very quickly so it CAN HAPPEN. Kinda like the shitfight for the 3rd LHP & THP spots

    Hope so!

    Wallabies 2024

Surely Lancaster is not being considered Potter isn't that surprising given his relative success in the UK. Daugunu was one of the best in Australia A so it makes sense he is currently 'next cab off the rank', but if still pick Marky IN 2024, Koroibete has said he is still keen and Vunivalu got...

    Wallabies 2024

Marika has said he is keen to play on - yay for 2024 at least. Yeh you aren't wrong - I'm just jaded. It's also a big IF he comes back for 2027. We won't know for almost 3 years!

    Wallabies 2024

Do we select Mark in 2024? Part of me says - best team possible each game regardless. Part of me says - fuk that guy, don't pay him match top ups Hope he has a big 2 years in league, if he wants back into wallabies for 2027 WC, then he will need to kill it otherwise his value will drop, not...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I disagree about Harrison - he is a bit hold hands and singalong when it comes to players - being the RUPA boss and all. He will never be able to be overly critical - I mean they used him in the review FFS. Was he open and honest at the WC etc (like SBW)? Can he even be open and honest when he...

    Aussie Player Exodus

If its just under normal income tax, then 500k aud in France is about 50k worse off then 500k in Aus To make it even, he would need to get paid $400k here in Australia.

    Wallabies 2024

He is fine - will be a stalwart in the squad in 2024 and beyond, will be our Slipper in 2027. Basically a shitfight for the 3rd LHP and THP in 2024 and 2025, Schoup, Hodgman, Gibbon, Lambert Pone, Talakai, HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes), Nonggoor, then Eloff to be eligible.

    Wallabies 2024

Anderson got opportunities in Aus A squad - but I do want to see Toole and Potter in and around. Toole just has something you can't coach and SA have shown the value of having at least 1 hyper elusive wing.

    Wallabies 2024

Again - being around for the WC has NOTHING to do with whether someone should be in the squad in 2024. The CEO has made that clear.

    Wallabies 2024

I said he was a wallaby - which is accurate. This was a side (and very off topic) discussion about which capped wallaby should be dropped from the starting Reds XV in order to accommodate Lynagh or HMP, not a suggestion of which capped wallaby in the Reds should be selected as a wallaby in 2024...

    Wallabies 2024

So which wallaby would you leave out of the starting xv?
  16. upthereds#!

    Wallabies 2024

That was my exact team and the feedback from one was in extreme objection to JOC (James O'Connor) being the best 10 ahead of lynagh and HMP
  17. upthereds#!

    Wallabies 2024

In my best team he would, but this was in a response to JOC (James O'Connor) not playing 10. So figuring out which wallaby gets benched for a developing 10 in the best possible starting lineup.
  18. upthereds#!

    Wallabies 2024

So you would have 9. Mcdermott 10. TL/HMP 11. Vunivalu 12. JOC (James O'Connor) 13. Paisami 14. Flook 15. Petaia 22. Henry? 23. Campbell See, I just can't see shifting our best fullback out of the team to accommodate it, especially now that Petaia is at 15 and I don't think that's his best spot, and flook is...

    Wallabies 2024

He will probably play 12 outside of of these 2, but I think it is premature to state without a shadow of a doubt that a 20 year old with limited game time and a teenager with barely any, have cemented themselves ahead of him. Who would you leave out of the lineup to accommodate one of those...

The one and only Wallaby Coach thread

He spent less then 2 years as a average assistant in an average team and never coached again. He currently talks shit on a mic and organises scratch matches with his old buddy wallabies. He is in no way or shape qualified to be running a top tier high performance program.
