Probably because Link is still selecting them.

Australia Vs. England, Twickenham, 2nd November 2013

The argument people always make against Palu is that he's big but ineffective or lacking in impact. And yet despite playing about half the tests in the voting period, his peers rated him very highly. So either he has more impact than some fans think or the players are wrong. Whether Pocock or...

And yet somehow still second for the JEM.

    Jonathan Kaplan retires

Since Kiap was comparing win percentages under Kaplan, win percentages overall are the most sensible comparison point. He's not suggesting the Waratahs are the fourth most successful franchise.

It's been a long time since Horwill played a good game for Australia. Maybe one of the Lions tests was okay?

    The John Eales Medal 2012/2013

Or the players view these things quite differently to the keyboard warriors.

    Jonathan Kaplan retires

Sometimes. But I certainly had a sinking feeling of impending doom whenever he was assigned, although we won a few he reffed in the last few years. Anyway, it was a lighthearted remark -- always thought he did a great job in the test arena (and whenever the Tahs weren't playing). Not many of...

    Jonathan Kaplan retires

At one point our record under Kaplan was something like 1 win, 15 losses.

    Jonathan Kaplan retires

As a rugby fan, it's a shame to see a great ref hang up the whistle. As a Waratahs fan -- phew!

    JOC (James O'Connor) Gooonne

This would have been worse news a month ago, but I'm optimistic about Oz rugby just now, especially in the backs. Tomane's last game was a cracker, Folau is dynamite, Cummins has mongrel, Kuridrani's made of potential and even Pete Betham, who must have been 10th choice 3 months ago played well...

He played tighthead for most of the season at the Reds too.

That's what he'll tell his teammates. At home he'll give himself a few high fives. The bloke is fucking lucky -- some might so inconceivably so -- to still have a test career after the utter load of shite he served up in the biggest Aussie game in years.

All Blacks v Wallabies, Dunedin, 19th October 2013

    1. As a frequent critic of the front row and scrum, I was pleased to see a better showing on that front this week. Not good as such, but we got a tighthead and weren't often under too much pressure. Again, though, we were much better once Robinson came on. As long as he gets a solid 30 mins it's...

All Blacks v Wallabies, Dunedin, 19th October 2013

I guess now, finally, after a scrummaging YC in Rosario to cap off 6 straight games of embarrassment, this week -- in Dunedin, against the All Blacks -- will be the week that this front row finally get it together. If not -- don't worry, there's plenty more chances with a Grand Slam tour...

    IRB Annual Awards 2013

I reckon Halfpenny should get it. I don't think he's close to the best player in world rugby, just that he had the best year in 2013. Being the best player in the Six Nations and on a Lions Tour is pretty bloody impressive.

Touché. If that was the reason, Link must be one helluva pedant.

All Blacks v Wallabies, Dunedin, 19th October 2013

Horne was already signed with the Waratahs for 2014, IIRC. Harris has been picked for an obvious reason: if Foley or Cooper role an ankle getting out of bed on Saturday, no one else can kick goals except Nick White. That said, he really isn't up to standard in any other aspect of the game...

    2013 EOYT

Yes, I'd take Sio. This squad suggests that Slipper and the Cat are being considered LHPs, so we likely won't see the lineup you're proposing.
