    WA Premier Grade 2023

Disappointing to see majority of force squad members are playing back in Sydney. Would be great to have them all playing in Perth to improve our comp here but I guess the argument is that they will become better players if they can play at a higher level

Australia A - Back on the Cards

I think Pone still a chance as well, I thought he would have been a type that Eddie would be keen on

    Wallabies 2023

From a western force perspective, disappointing to get so few picked but as shown here can’t really complain due to injuries and more overseas players than others. Jeremy williams could have been a bolter maybe ahead of Charlie Cale or Darcy Swain Great to see IFL recognised though

    Wallabies 2023

Happy for Skelton to start as he has been in the set up before and I think our whole structure changes with him so we need to get used to him asap. Arnold off the bench though makes sense. Could have Arnold 19, LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto)/Tom Hooper 20, Samu 21

    Wallabies 2023

The media seem to be talking up Richie Arnold a lot in the last few days. I don’t see how you could leave out frost from the starting lineup after his form. I watched the top 14 final and didn’t think Arnold was that great but I guess Eddie wants a look at him

    Western Force 2024

Agree. Hopefully Wells is holding tackle bags next year. Not sure if Naisarani is hanging around. Jeremy Williams would make a good 6

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

I have always hated this playoff system (probably because we always get knocked out). At least the top 2 from each pool should go through, so the top 6 and then work it out from there. Actually seeing as there are 12 teams I would prefer 2 groups of 6, they play 5 games each and then top...

    Wallabies 2023

I am surprised he didn’t call Sio up as well, surely he is better than some of the guys seen training with the team this week. I guess the hope is that all the injured guys are good to go so not needed

Australia A - Back on the Cards

This has been my exact 23 as well but I have doubts now over Hooper and Wright. I think I would start McReight and leave Hooper out and then move Kellaway to fullback and play Marky M (Nawaqanitawase). Hodge at 23 instead of Petaia
  10. Mr Pilfer

    Wallabies 2023

Yep this is why I think Hodge is a certainty. Hopefully Petaia makes it as well. Wouldn’t be keen on any of the others mentioned, although I rate IFL as a halfback for the future

    Wallabies 2023

The squad sizes for the world cup have already been confirmed as 33 so not sure why the debate. I believe that can give you; - 6 props (AAA / Slipper / Tupou if fit / Bell if fit / 2 others) - 3 hookers (Porecki / 2 others) - 3 locks (Frost / Skelton / 1 other) - 6 backrow (Holloway /...

    Wallabies 2023

I would like to see Wilson picked as well but the only way I can see him getting in is if Samu or Gleeson don't. I can't see them picking all 3 unfortunately

    RWC 2023 Qualifying & Miscellany

Interesting that Isaac Fines-Leleiwasa is not in there? Surely he is good enough unless he is now wanted to play for Wallabies? Also surprised Manasa Mataele is not in there.
  14. Mr Pilfer

    Wallabies 2023

a 6:2 bench split always worries me, I would always prefer 5:3 and then you can have McDermott/Carter/Hodge. But then 5 forwards becomes difficult. 3 front rowers is a given plus Samu so then you must have another second rower (Phillip/Rodda). Doesn't leave any option for...

    Australian Rugby / RA

We need someone who can embrace the whole country and each state's grassroots. WA is the only state that had an increase in registered players last year so hopefully he recognizes that. With the amount of ex-pat English, South African's and Kiwi's moving into non traditional rugby states...

    Western Force 2024

We won't win a single game if that is the front row. I am sure Cron is trying hard to land some front row replacements. Hoskins, Sio, Ainsley, Pone etc
  17. Mr Pilfer

    Wallabies 2023

Overseas options they have Sio (loosehead) and Hoskins (loosehead). I would be considering bringing Sio in and Slipper can also cover tighthead. So LHP - Slipper, Bell, Sio (1st reserve Gibbon) THP - AAA, Pone, Tupou (Slipper as cover) (1st reserve HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes))

I am personally looking forward to the upcoming 10 years of Bledisloe Cup domination for the Wallabies following this ;)

    Wallabies 2023

Yep and have to say he wasn’t avoiding tackling, he was getting stuck in
  20. Mr Pilfer

    Barbarians v World XV

Yep Japan will begin to get even stronger when more of these players become eligible. Tevita Li would be another one
