Also worth remembering that we hadn't played a test match in South Africa for 4 years and we no longer play super rugby over there. I think that is also a big consideration with a lot of our younger players having little to no experience with playing in Sth Africa and dealing with altitude.

I would say Gordon is already 99% locked in to start this next one. Perfect opportunity to bring him in and I think he would have started anyway regardless of what happened on the weekend

I just think the coaches should pick and stick with Harry Wilson at 8 for awhile and back him in rather than looking for the next overnight superstar at 6. I actually think they should pick Valetini/McReight/Wilson/McDermott and build the team around that and that’s not coming from a QLD...

Hodge at 12 makes more sense now I have had time to think about it. I think I have heard Eddie being quoted that he wants to play without the ball, which is what other teams have done well in recent years, whilst the Wallabies have tended to try and do too much. So rather than running rugby...

I don’t hate the idea of Vunivalu starting. I don’t think he deserves it but there is the potential he could go well outside of quade and Ikitau and maybe having Koribete on the other wing will be a good example for him to follow. Worst case he performs poorly as expected and then Eddie can...

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Yep he was alright on that front but he needs to somehow get a better kicking game

Shit never go near the sideline like that surely come back inside

Damn that was the chance McLaughlin Phillips has been huge since coming on

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

I was expecting them to run over the top of us but the yellow might get us over the line here Won’t be enough to go through though I am guessing

Australia A - Back on the Cards

All sounds pretty smart to me, although unusual I think to have a friendly against a team who we will be playing in the actual tournament, world rugby might reject it on that basis?

Starting Gordon at home vs Argentina I think would be a good way to introduce him

The future doesn’t look too promising for southern hemisphere rugby based on these games

    World Cup Tickets

Won't be able to make that one unfortunately but cheers for the offer. That could be a cracking game too

    Wallabies 2023

I still don't think Folau Fainga'a is out of the picture. Given the quality of the other hookers, a good game against Tonga and performance on the training paddock could see him back.

    World Cup Tickets

Great cheers, good advice. I keep looking on the resale platform but haven't been lucky but agree better off waiting until closer to the event

    World Cup Tickets

Sorry not sure if there is already a forum/chat around this topic but I am interested in opinions around ticketing for the World Cup. I managed to get tickets to a couple of wallabies games through the official site but now seeing as I am there I am hoping to get tickets to the all blacks vs...

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

I feel like the balance of a 5/3 vs 6/2 bench is messing with Eddie's head and he is concerned about being left short which is why he is coming up with these bizarre "utility" players. So if he goes with 5/3 he will include Pietsch as apparently he can cover flanker or if he goes 6/2 he will...

    Wallabies 2023

Surely this is Vunivalu's last chance to impress during TRC and if he does nothing then out of the World Cup squad. He is still being picked on potential and I agree that there is still that very slim possibility that if you put him outside Quade, Kerevi and Ikitau he could be dominant at...
