New Zealand v Wallabies, Eden Park, Sat 22nd October

The last point of the game plan.......... Pin the Wallabies inside their 22 via kicks. Take advantage of Foley's poor kicking and counter attack through the broken field inside Australia's half.

Wallabies v Pumas - Saturday 17 September, nib Stadium Perth

I agree with your points. I am only looking at Foley in this position cause Cheika seems hell bent on selecting him. At this point I think Kerevi at 12 and Hodge at 13 looks like it could develop into an excellent combination but I honestly can't see Cheika trying Kerevi/Hodge anytime soon. Long...

Wallabies v Pumas - Saturday 17 September, nib Stadium Perth

Broadly speaking yes, but I think it comes down to where he plays for the Reds. But it would be interesting seeing how 12 Hodge 13 Kerevi goes.

Wallabies v Pumas - Saturday 17 September, nib Stadium Perth

I would say Beale was the most important factor in the Tahs performance in 2014, not Foley. I disagree he played high quality error free rugby, he made plenty of errors, but those errors just get conveniently glossed over. The England game was the only game he played good, and that game was...

"Or cooper/kerevi/kuridrani Or cooper/Beale/kerevi Or cooper/kerevi/folau with hodge at FB. All would be preferable to the current combination. I'd make minimal changes for the Pumas/ Boks but I'd love to see Cheika think outside the box for the next ABs game. We know his selections failed in...

Wallabies v Pumas - Saturday 17 September, nib Stadium Perth

If Cheika wants two playmakers, why pick Foley at 12, he isn't a playmaker. Foley hasn't had a drop off in his form from last year. Foley was completely average last year with one game (vs England at RWC) where he played well above his average. Foley has a been a one hit wonder and there are...

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

Those posters criticising Foley are either blinded by state bias or Rugby illiterate, either way they are ignorant. Foley is not only amongst the best players wearing the 10 jersey in the world, but one of the best players in world rugby, period. You can't judge Foley by traditional 10...

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

That is pretty much on the mark with the players available. I would swap TPN for Moore and bring Hansen in on the bench.

Bledisloe 2 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, Wellington, 27 August 2016

I only worked on players Cheika picked in the starting side....agreed with actually having someone other than Foley at 15.

Bledisloe 2 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, Wellington, 27 August 2016

But we already have and have done so for honks, in Folau. Foley is probably slightly ahead of Folau in kicking. A Kerevi and Folau 12/13 combo would be a nightmare to defend.

Bledisloe 2 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, Wellington, 27 August 2016

The other option which could have worked quite well from the starting 15, is 10. Cooper 12. Kerevi 13. Folau 11. DHP 14. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) 15. Foley. Foley was pretty handy at 15 for the Waratahs and Folau pretty handy at 13 for the Waratahs.

Bledisloe 2 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, Wellington, 27 August 2016

Personally, I think if the players named in the starting backs have to be it, I would rather Kerevi at 12 and Foley at 13. Kerevi will create more opportunities for Foley to take advantage of than Foley will create for Kerevi. Looking forward to hopefully seeing a 10-12-13 Combination of...

    The Rugby Championship 2016

The difference between Foley and Cooper as 10's; Any team with Foley as 10 requires a playmaker at 12, not a second playmaker, as Foley doesn't count as a playmaker. Any team with Cooper at 10, doesn't necessarily need a second playmaker at 12.

    Wallaby Coaching Staff

Practice is great, as long as you are practicing the right way.......So say Foley is practicing by taking 100 shots at goal and technically he is doing something wrong.....all practicing is doing is ingraining the technical flaw.

    Wallaby Coaching Staff

If the Wallabies could snag Mick Byrne, that would be a huge shot in the arm!

    Wallaby Coaching Staff

Overall the Wallaby coaching staff are going along ok, but there might be some cracks starting to show. The Rugby Championship will be the litmus test to see if they can evolve the game plan and tactics. I think Larkham is possibly the only coach who may be under performing. That might be more...

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

"1. In as many posts Skelton is dumped on for being fat and lazy and unfit. 2. Then the suggestion is move him to 8 because the above assertion wouldn't be as noticeable at 8?" 1. I thought of trying him at 8 for Game 3, based on the assumption he would be suitably fit enough to play rugby...

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

So we should just keep on keeping on, with the aim of doing the same thing with the same players, but better........Interesting philosophy.....if it didn't work against the Poms, it won't against the All Blacks and probably won't against the Saffas and Argies. If we learn nothing and change...

Agree with locks, Coleman had a good debut and throw in Arnold, our lock stocks look good going forward.

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

Regards Skelton, he has massive upside, but last night showed is simply too unfit for a professional player. I honestly didn't realise how unfit he is. He needs to be given a kick in the arse and the coaching staff at the Tahs are equally responsible. If he shed the fat and got fit, he would be...
