    Who will win tri nations

One person so far has picked the Wallabies. Anyone want to nut up and admit it was them? Brave prediction. Or, maybe a mod can change the poll so that you can see who voted for what so we can have some bragging rights...

    Melbourne Rebels 2011

I'm hopeful that Rooney gets a good shot at fullback for the Rebels. Rooney could be the style of fullback that the Wallabies are lacking.

    Who will win tri nations

Anyone want to stick a poll at the top? I am picking the All Blacks as well, by the way.

    Wallabies V Ireland, Brisbane

Actually I agree that he does look fine taking a few steps to find a flat forward runner. Allows the runner to hit the line close to the advantage line and can create gaps for he halfback or his runner. Genia and a few other halfbacks do the same thing. Last night though Burgess was taking...

    Robbie Deans Report Card

My biggest criticism is his use of the bench. Would've liked to have seen Chapman, Hodgson (for Brown), Valentine and Barnes (for Giteau) given 10 to 20 minutes last night. I agree with Kearns in that I am not a fan of the "two minute cap" but would like to see some of those players given more...

    Wallabies V Ireland, Brisbane

Oh and I thought that Chisholm didn't have a good game but I think his inclusion is part of the reason he scrum improved. Thought that some of the penalties against Daley were a little harsh and were probably due to a preconceived notion that the Wallabies would get hammered at scrum time.

    Wallabies V Ireland, Brisbane

You could see how the loss to England affected the game plan as it was very conservative with the Wallabies not really willing to pass the ball twice or more wider from a kick return and counter. Very conservative game plan and combined with some poor kicking no wonder the Wallabies struggled to...

G&GR Wallabies Player of the Match vs Ireland, Brisvegas

Hmmm I sometimes wonder how to allocate points. Take Burgess. Had a peice of individual brilliance to keep the Wallabies in the game. Yet his passing and kicking was pants. The Irish halfback I thought had a better game if you ignore the try from Burgess. The clearance kicks from the Irish half...

Wallabies getting the better if the ref calls now. Good to see....unless you are Irish.

    Wallabies V Ireland, Brisbane

Someone needs to ban Cooper and Beale from grubbers. And get a sensible kicking game while they are at it. Wallabies have gotten the harsh end of the stick from the ref.

    Wallabies V Ireland, Brisbane

Jeez Burgess looks good sniping. Jeez Burgess is so poor at the other areas of his position.

    Wallabies V Ireland, Brisbane

Beale has played wing before. He played wing for the dirt trackers last EOYT. Went OK there too which surprised me as he doesn't look like a natural winger. But agree the bench isn't balanced. It would be more balanced with Hynes or Turner. But don't expect Mitchell or AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) to be subbed unless...

    Wallabies V Ireland, Brisbane

RedsHappy; the Baabaas games weren't ridiculous, just the performance of "Aus A" in the second one was. The second tier ("A" level) international games are very important for development. Injuries are part and parcel of the game and Chambers and Fainga'a were just unlucky with theirs. Chambers...

    Wallabies V Ireland, Brisbane

Oh, and I think that the time for Douglas and Simmons will come. They both went well this year, but I think the support for them is ahead of their development right now.

    Wallabies V Ireland, Brisbane

fatprop; agree with that about Chapman, plus the more developed and seasoned Chapman would be better placed to play in the Tri-Nations over the green Douglas and Simmons. Plus, Chapman did not disgrace himself for "Aus A", unlike some other "Aus A" forwards, and is a proven lineout jumper. And...

    Western Force 2011

saulih; no, I don't think there is - many Force players still play in the Sydney premiership and appear to have no local affiliations with WA clubs. You're better off asking that at TWF, though.

    Wallabies vs England, Sydney

I think you will find it disputed if that thread actually even exists...

    Wallabies V Ireland, Brisbane

Scarfy; I call reductio ad absurdum on you! I have to say I don't agree with all selections of Deans. I would've recalled Baxter for instance, and chucked Ma'afu. But I can't see how Deans could wave his magic wand fix our problem of lack of top second rowers and front rowers (apart from the...

    Reds 2011

So many rumours. So was Cooper actually caught with the laptops in his possession? Will we even know after the court case?
  20. Ash

    Reds 2011

Yes, it was. Supposedly Cooper was completely wasted and went back to Hynes' place earlier than others. Rumour I heard was that he went to the wrong house (across the road?), found it locked and broke in and collapsed on the couch. Do not know if this rumour is anywhere even close to the...
