Aussies an outside chance at best.

Strong but inexperienced. They'll be hard to beat in Canberra but I fear the wheels may come off on the road. Anyhoo your signature is quite something. It's quite disturbing at many levels. Too many levels.

    John Mitchell

If you read Anton Oliver's book it is quite easy to see why people will develop a problem with Mitchell. He rules by divide and conquer and will listen to nobody. At least that was Oliver's version of the story.

    Scarf Christmas drinks in Sydney

I'd just like to pet everyone know that after three days of legal wrangle, and the involvement of senior council in Sydney, Lindnommer is a free man again. ;) Good to meet you fellas. Keep up the good work and have a great Chrtistmas. Looking forward to watching a S14 game together...

    The Tahs 2009

Seriously I think Mumm should be at 6. That back row is not balanced for mine and Fava does a lot of disappearing. The problem I guess is who to plug into lock.Fark me I hope there is no prop injury. The difference between the starting tight 5 and the reserves looks like daylight.

    Scarf Christmas drinks in Sydney

I'm in. I vote for the Belgians. I have no Yellow scarf unless I wear my kid's Banana's in Pyjama's scarf. OK I'll wear the Bulls jersey instead. At least you'll know who I am :)

    The Tahs 2009

So what would the likely match 22 look like at this stage?

    Baa Baas V Wallabies

Do I think it's right? No. But Puppet has shown his hand and it looks likely that Smit will feature a lot at 3 in future. it is very much a move to prolong his career because you can't leave Bismarck on the bench. The best thing that could happen is for Smit to play regularly at 3 for the Sharks...

    Baa Baas V Wallabies

Sure, not the greatest as far as the SA TH's are concerned but a bit better than "can't prop for shit". We just don't make props in that category. :) HE stepped up just fine at TH in the RWC, considering that until 2 years ago he had never played TH. Got moved around by Sheridan (look Ma, no...

How Experimental Law Variations have cut the Six Nations down to size

SA initially bleated but accepted it and moved on. Hardly turned against it. Yeah Wales and Scotland could have, would have, should have, but as has almost always always been the case, didn't.

    Most hated world rugby side?

Australia. Other countries ban their drug cheats and their CEO's don't complain about the ref. :fishing Oh an Australia has Campese. That's enough for most people.

Saffer new faces and player movements 2009

Haha. He wouldn't make it alive into Pretoria. They'll mow him down on the borders. No seriously is weepee goign to keep him? Not very good for morale now is he?

RUGBY FEROCITY IS TAKING HUGE TOLL ON PLAYERS

Sure. I agree. But I am saying that it sill always be very tempting to push a youngster if he is a star. It will take a lot of maturity from a club to hold back.

Saffer new faces and player movements 2009

Who are the Lions Flyhalf options? That's what screwed them in the CC. Strydom is useless and Rose is all over the show. Without a decent 10 they are always going to prop up the bottom of the S14 ladder. Is there any youngster in that squad who could save them? Who are the Stormers LH props...

RUGBY FEROCITY IS TAKING HUGE TOLL ON PLAYERS

So you're pointing to responsible player management. Hard thing to do if a guy is a star. You want to play him week in week out. Games like Rugby, League and NFL are going to have a high attrition rate. They are games made for Super Stars and TV rights. More TV time, more money, the more the...

Interested to know if NRL training is still generally considered to be harder than say S14?

    Heineken Cup (spoilers)

This game was proof that you don't need tries for excitement. Imagine how weird it was a for a Bulls fan to see the Darling of Loftus run out in a Pommie green strip :) Hougaard will be very well suited to the Leicester game plan. It will be interesting to see how Heineke Meyer interchanges...

    EOYT Rules?

But we all digress. So it's the S14 / 3N ELV's plus what exactly? The rules played in the Heineken Cup?
