Ah yep, for some reason I was equating his previous years NRC with the Soup.......... Still, he was the Force player of the year in his debut season - I'm not concerned by any supposed "lack of experience."

I think he provided a kind of hybrid role.......... he's a very mobile big man who gets through a load of work - and he was a pilfering machine against the Drua.

McCaffrey is a solid journeyman and a good addition to the squad in terms of experience........ but I don't see him providing anything more than what the alternatives provide. The Brumbies need to shake of the conservatism and reward Cusack and Valetini for their NRC form.......... Naisarani...

2018 prediction......... Future Brumbies captain Tom Cusack to have a blinder in the first month of Super Rugby, forcing Pocock to no 8.......... Backrow traditionalists to have a collective meltdown.

The injury predates his time in Japan............ If anything he should've had the surgery in his down time before he played in Japan.
