Beale and Cooper in boozy incident

About 12 or 13 years ago, when I was still a uni student, a bit of street theatre outside the Vic was not an uncommon event. The most memorable was on the footpath right outside the door. There were three security guys holding a "patron" down on the ground, with a fourth sitting on him, while a...

You listen to the Rush Hour? I'd probably take that with a grain of salt.

The problem for Dean is that it appears that it is just fifteen pieces of flair, which is apparently the bare minimum. What do you think of someone who just does the bare minimum? edit: 15, not 27, is apparently the bare minimum of flair.

If players are getting cold, why aren't they wearing warmer gear?

Did you guys see Pocock giving the speech after the game? He was shivering so badly he could barely talk. Made me wonder the exact same thing about warmer jerseys. I remember players wearing full length sleaves, at the least, back in yesteryear.

Our pack isn't too bad with injuries, with just Horwill really being badly felt. The biggest issue with the pack is that TPN and Palu aren't in particularly hot form, and I get the feeling that Sharpe is starting to show his age and has one foot in retirement. The real problem with injuries...

Yup, Carter's lateral movement has been shown up a few times in the 13 channel this year. Wonder if he's a step slower than last year. I remember the Tahs did a heap of sprint work last year, which maybe they haven't repeated this year. Looking forward to seeing the massive George North in...

    Who's to Blame?

Generally Aus halfbacks also seem to like some structure before they move it. If they don't see a forward in exactly the right place with a second forward up his ass sitting there for a few seconds, then they hesitate and wait. My other gripe is that Aus forwards don't seem to be as adept as...

Not sure on the bolded part. I think Wales might like to have a crack at us in the backs. Traditionally, they are a side that likes to play with a bit more width.

Cyclo; agree where Horne tackling gets it wrong, but he just doesn't fall off, he often gets stepped and completely beaten. Again, it's the same problem, as he seems to set his feet too early and look for the big hit, and he gets caught out by a decent step. He could take a leaf from the Tom...

Unfortunately, that Welsh backline has more ability to get the ball wide then ours does.

What start are the Welsh getting with some of the Aus betting agencies? Welsh with the start looks a damn safe bet to me.

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

Tomane was a union Aus schoolboy, who was grabbed up by the Storm despite an offer from the Reds (academy only though?). There were stories that he wanted to backflip to union before he even started league, I think. Saffy is a Saffa, where he had a union background. Vuna also played union in...

He is in poor form, and hasn't been playing at fullback for the Tahs since the first couple of games. Besides not being much tested under a high ball this year, the Welsh are hardly the sort of team to resort to midfield bombs. I've never thought that AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) was a real fullback, and I still...

I think the only people who could be happy with this side are Tahs fans. Well, fair play to them, they deserve to be happy about something this season. OK, Robinson and Kepu, good choices. TPN...well, I think he's been off and work rate has been too low, but you can't play Moore again for 3...

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

Hunt was a union star in school playing at 12. Played a bit of 10 for Biarritz too, but his main job there was to kick as they played a lot of 9 or 10 man rugby.

    Who's to Blame?

The scheduling made selecting the team a team consisting of mostly Brumbies impossible, unless you think White really would have rested half his team in a crunch game against the Rebels. There's also no guarantee that the Brumbies, who are in good form currently but probably not where they were...

    Wallabies vs Scotland - 5 June 2012

Yup. Said in an earlier post that we lost it in the halves. The link between Genia and Barnes failed, and Barnes never once connected outside him or could find the right kick. Both had poor games. Still, don't think SA would be that dumb with scheduling, which is the major factor in my book.

    Wallabies vs Scotland - 5 June 2012

Honestly, no need for knee jerk reactions here. Couple days together and some players backing up after a few days vs a (poor admittedly) team that had been through the six nations. Credit to Scotland, but I'd blame scheduling. Really, playing in driving rain, after a few days together, and...

Well done Scotland. Think we lost that one in the halves and just not converting position into points.
