Yeah, sorry - was only joking. I agree the Argie was equally in the wrong.

You of all people should know Cyclo that the medical profession shouldnt have to deal with violence in the workplace.

That's complete bullshit. I've defended Phipps plenty of times when I've felt people have criticised him unfairly. Also Hooper for the record. And I like Nathan Grey - but regardless of where he was, what he did was contrary to the spirit of the game. It is notable that for all the shit you...

And, before we get to indignant about the actions of the Argentinian medic - it wasn't that long ago that Grey tried to grab the football to prevent a quick lineout by England.

I'm pretty sure hitting a medic in the back isn't in Phipps job description either. It was moronic play. Our discipline is shit and we don't need stupidity like that. If that opinion makes you want to tell me to get fucked ..... well, honestly I'm not losing sleep over it.

I dunno. Now that the Pooper is ended with, the failings of our lineout deal come down to skill execution. Coleman & Arnold are our tallest combo ever I think (yes - I know height isn't the only factor, but it helps) & Douglas & Simmons are both tall enough, as are Mumm & Fardy. Timani & Houston...

I agree Cyclo - and that may be a problem. But both Timani & Houston are legitimate jumpers. Just not sure if they are good enough to make our lineout a force at test level. My other concern is if they are both too similiar in playing style. But gee it would be nice to see a couple of blokes...

That's a lot of changes and a lot of inexperience from one test to the next.i quite like the proposed team, but I very much doubt we will see it for the next game.

Yeah - I thought Timani was good. I thought he also secured a few breakdowns with some good, low, accurate clean outs when the Argies were in a position to contest. A good, solid debut for mine. Edit: hopefully the Rebels agree and see benefit to switching him to the back of the scrum next year.

    Reds 2017

It's very tough for young guys to maintain form over an entire lengthy season. This is really his first year stepping up regularly at Super rugby level. It is one of the reasons that, while I think he remains up there in terms of Wallaby prospects, I'm actually happy he has been left out of...

Moore's form seems to have picked up a bit in the last two tests. I've no doubt he still has plenty to offer at super rugby level.

I agree that the trainer shouldn't have touched the ball, but play was dead. Phipps has form and Australia has a discipline problem. There was just no need for what Phipps did.

To be fair, I though Foley did mostly what he needed today. Straightened the attack when he needed to and played second distributor out wide. I would like to see that backline as well though. But it won't be in the next game - too many changes from one test to the next.

Pumas vs Wallabies - Sunday 9th October @ Twickenham

It was a nice little demo of number 8 skills and nous to win the scrum penalty at the end. I thought DHP stated a good case to either switch with Folau or give Folau a rest and give Naivalu a run.

Pumas vs Wallabies - Sunday 9th October @ Twickenham

Fair enough - I'm not looking for a slanging match either - but I think he has demonstrated in super rugby his offloading is generally good and his base distribution skills aren't too bad either.

Pumas vs Wallabies - Sunday 9th October @ Twickenham

I'm genuinely confused by that criticism. Where was the part where he should have passed and didn't? He's been charged with busting the line and he's been doing a great job of that. I was sure it was his quick hands that helped release DHP down the right as well. How many times has he killed...

EOYT 2016 - Possibles, probables and general banter

I dunno Amirite. In terms of positions of need, I think we have the 13 jersey covered. Everywhere else, we aren't more than an injury or two away from having a serious issue, if we aren't already in trouble.

Problem there might be Gordon's potential path is blocked by Phipps, isn't it? Whereas Simone has a realistic chance to play as a regular super rugby starter.
