    Waratahs 2016

Nau & Fatcat will be vital parts of the scrum. The others? experience will be needed and most will contribute plenty. I can't see how two of our best players this season (Hoiles & Carraro) will not again contribute

2015 Super XV Final Hurricanes v Highlanders

Just a great game of rugby, it highlighted just how far below the rest of the world is terms of intent and skills. Most of the time, the 5:30 Friday S15 match is the best rugby match of the weekend (but that may be amplified the Aus match (often absolute dross) played afterwards). The final...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

If he starts playing the way he has in the past, he will be an asset, he used to nearly always beat that first defender on kick return. The question then becomes, instead of who?

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

and that is really different from Naiyaravoro how? (he did play in the ARC and club rugby last season)

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I hate bureaucracy, I would think that a decent coach would be working to fix individual skills of players, the ARU should be training the coaches and Milner-Skudder was playing U20s for the Bulldogs this time last year ............... so is the NZ talent pool at issue as well?

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

@Gnostic whilst I agree we need better skills training, I disagree with this "ARU should do this" "ARU should do that" stuff We have big squads in S15 mode for most of the year, just what do they do all year? I know when Link tried do implement some stuff, it took quite a while for some...

Yep, it would be wonderful to have someone with experience playing better Typos by SwiftKey, errors in tone by me

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Does that make it a stats based team, like the foxsport's fantasy stuff? Typos by SwiftKey, errors in tone by me

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Yep, and captain. Just maybe he isn't as crap as some think, and probably not as good as others think. Typos by SwiftKey, errors in tone by me

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

    I see him as a better "10/12" than To'omua who I see as more of a "12/10"

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

    My 2 cents 1. Slipper 2. Moore 3. Kepu 4. Simmons 5. Skelton 6. Fardy 7. Hooper or Pocock 8. Higgers 9. Phipps 10. Foley or Cooper 11. Tomane 12. Lealiifano or To'omua 13. Kuridrani 14. Ashley-cooper 15. Folau 16 Hanson 17 Holmes 18 Sio 19 Arnold 20 McCalman 21 Genia 22 Mitchell I don't...

I would have thought Haylett-Petty (our only decent young 15 cover) and Inman

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I have no doubt that Jones will get his chance, but I think Horwill is worth an early punt that a different atmosphere may get him to where he needs to be. "If" that happens Cheika will deemed a genius and the Wobs will be a far better team for having another experienced quality player...

    Reds 2016

You have to want to stay as your first premise and then work out how to fit in more cash (sorry experience new cultures etc o_O ) I am sure Folau and Foley could have made more cash heading fully overseas as well

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

same issue, unless Sio starts, Slipper will be sitting next to Moore at the back end of the game

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

He may, but the question still stands, another will be closing every test, who?

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I think Mumm is a squad option at best and his place will depend on Horwills form (who with any form is a better lock). But as that piece of the puzzle, I don't think Jones or Coleman came into the choice. The two raw locks selected were Skelton & Arnold, to me they were who Jones or Coleman...

Playing devils advocate, couldn't the same argument be made against Gits & Mitchell?

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

He will know more than anyone else, and he was in very good form in the UK in a side known for playing expansive rugby, we have Gits and Mitchell being considered on their NH form, so why not him? That said, if Horwill was near decent form, I don't think he would be being considered

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Moore is the obvious choice for Captain, the interesting question is who covers the back half of each game after Moore finishes his shift? He won't be playing 80 minutes, more likely 50. It will either be one of the minority likely to play 80 minutes in each game, or one a couple of "vice...
