I remember they played exactly the same game plan in Christchurch a few years ago,and RD was universally shat upon.....maybe Link is not the oracle after all?

The game is struggling.last nights poor crowd is proof of that. The crowd was inflated by selling 1/2 price tickets for the last week, and they were still short by 12,000 odd. It is a long way from sell outs in a day!

6 tries to 2 flattered us. It's a bit disingenuous to suggest the AB's scored a couple of lucky ones, and neglect to mention we scored one long range try off a knockdown and the other in the last minute of the game,

Crock of shit. 50% of the BIL crowd were pommie tourists. Subtract corporates and members, how many once a year supporters does that leave? Of the 68,000 how many were paying customers? So yeah,if the state of the game is such, they can't sellout a Bled cup ,then absolutely the ARU needs to...

As an aside, someone posted that they were selling Gold seats @ 1/2 price. I jumped in and took the family. At the price I paid, the seats were ok given this is the biggest match of the year. At $180 it would be an absolute ripoff. How much we're diamond and platinum tickets? Mr Pulver, when you...

I would agree with that,if there was an obvious change in style as per the Tahs this year. I struggle to see how they played in such a different style last night, that it will take them months to adjust.

As opposed to how they played last night? Last night was a very similar philosophy IMO

Had Mogg and JOC (James O'Connor) both played like IF,the score would have been very close. They were horrible.IF was merely ineffective.

How many times did he come in off his man? It's no coincidence his man scored 3 tries tonight. It's Test footy, you can't have anyone who leaks that many points. When he kicks poorly at 15, do we then pick him at 12?

JOC (James O'Connor) to fullback? He plays shit at 10, and they sack the coach. He plays shit at 11, and now he gets moved to fullback? He should ride the pine or go surfing. There is no basis for selecting him in the run on side. At all. Sack the 15 as well. If he is not confident in his skill set to perform at...

Great blog on the 2 semi finals Lee. I get a real feel of the game reading your match reports. Thanks very much.

    South Africa restores race quotas

It's not working because the super franchises have their heads in the sand. What if they had spent the resources on 10 yo's a decade ago? The black population is 10 times greater than the white. If they could have more black kids than white kids at 10, and properly support their Rugby...

    ISA Rugby 2013

The thing that bothers me most about blowout scores,is that in most cases it points to a physical mismatch. The mungo's have a mercy rule in the juniors, Get 50 in front and the game ends. As you say it's bad enough to be humbled by the scoreboard, being lined up to get smashed by bigger/better...

Mainly because there is more than one channel on a Rugby field. I do agree with your observation that he is not exceptional if he is limited to pick and go's.

Anyone know. If Augustines fielded the same side as Saturday? I noticed they were mIssing 2 of their front row & both their locks on the weekend. Lee were both games of a similar standard,or were Augustines flattered by their draw?

By far the best method, is that used by McQueen. Face up to it,respect it,and when it's over jog off and get take off your tracksuits and get ready in your own time. Have a pause between their big gee up and kicking off.

Spot on Lee. Our kicking game has to be inch perfect. Either the ball must be kicked dead, with no opportunity for a quick restart,or the chasers have to be on the ball. Our guys are not No one is good enough to give the AB's any room to wind up and have a crack on counter.

What incentive could you possibly offer that would be attractive? Logic would dictate that you just change the rules to ensure the quota system actually distributes the talent throughout the competition. The easiest thing, is to beef up Schoolboy rep points. If clubs are restricted to how many...
