    Rugby TV Ratings 2016

We are a member of World Rugby and can't change the laws and still be covered under their umbrella without their OK?

    Rugby TV Ratings 2016

Funny isn't it - game one this year broke all sorts of records, best rating since it began apparently, and yet game 2 was down...

    Rugby TV Ratings 2016

The Asian cup tournament skews 2015, like the Lions tour skews the ARU numbers and the World Cups do for both organisations. As a resilt, year on year comparisons don't make much sense. It's also worth pointing out that the FFA had an additional $60m in the Asia cup year but only broke even...

    Refereeing decisions

Relevant laws Lindommer - I reckon if it's legitimate for a try scorer to score from TIG by grounding a moving ball (which I do), then it should have been a 22 for the same situation from a defender

Sio got penalised for taking the half back out, so Owen decided that the ruck wasn't over yet.

    Rugby TV Ratings 2016

So not as disastrous as the Gold Coast Argie game of some years back (<120k Fox, <200k FTA) but still seriously low. If anyone ever wonders why we can't get more FTA coverage just point them to these numbers. Hopefully we don't test those lows next week, but given who might be on sat night for...

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

He's not eligible for a couple more weeks

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

Fardy just can't end up in the second row next weekend. Timani isn't much better. The Argies will smell blood and destroy us if it happens. We've worked too hard on our scrum of late to risk having non-specialts in at lock at any stage. It means Simmons probably has to be in the bench Edit -...

Great shots HJ. Love that middle one of Foley jumping between the two props.

    Rugby TV Ratings 2016

Amidst the glow of a long awaited Wallaby victory, potentially a disastrous night for the ARU ratings wise on a massive night for football The rugby didn't crack top 20 fta for the 5 Metro cities. Beaten by AFL (633k), NRL (594k) and even the Manchester derby (267k) on SBS. I suspect the Fox...

    Refereeing decisions

Couple of interesting decisions last night. * QCs grounding while out on bounds which should probably have been a 22 not a scrum * The simultaneous try/in touch * The wallaby maul tactics which worked well but was done 2 too many times. My question though is in those lineout maul situations...

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

Had one more thought. Think that must have been the best defensive game I've ever seen Quade play. Made some great tackles, and don't remember too many misses

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

Gordon Bray on Ten said he wasn't the first, but the first for a very long time, but no idea who it would be

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

Scrums were an absolute highlight. When have we ever looked that good against a South African side? Lineout much better but still needs work. Put Genia under huge pressure a couple of times and need to work out another tactic rather than the stand-off maul. Why on earth did they try that 4...

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

Yep, we'll take the win but I'm a bit scared for the South African supporters next week in New Zealand

God there's been some shithouse kicking in the last quarter. From both teams

Etzebeth straight off his feet into AAA there, bit unlucky
