Bledisloe #4 New Zealand vs Australia Nov 7 2020

It’s a flip between Kerevi and Big Will.

Hodge at 10 is simply recognising how green Lolesio was (and the injuries). It also suggests that Harrison is not considered near the pace. Hodge holds things until the game develops and we can introduce Lolesio more safely. Seems logical to me, though I wouldn’t be surprised by Hodge to...

I’m completely with this and really like Hodge at 15. Still while I rate DHP much more poorly than many here, even I can see he was not an important cog of the dreadful performance in Bled #3 and I would understand persisting. This will be considered heresy but if JOC (James O'Connor) remains unavailable I...

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

As usual a thought provoking article from Nick. https://www.theroar.com.au/2020/11/04/how-rennies-wallabies-were-blindsided-in-bledisloe-3/ Somehow I suspect defence on the short side is only one piece of the puzzle. I don’t have an issue protecting a key player like 10. It does however...

That would be the traditional criticism, but this time I thought Hanigan tolerable and Simmons the best performance in “coalface grunt” I have seen from him in a while. Doesn’t make them world beaters but I think “adequate” works. Baba is right here for mine - thinking in D would be a great...

That one issue has little to do with Lolo’s position in the team. BPA played a very good #2 possibly the best we have seen from a #2 this comp. LoLesio was asked to defend at #15 and consistently was poor, poorer even than his game time inexperience. Ofc playing #15 is not Lolesio’s...

A #2 defending against a #10 in space? It’s the ultimate mismatch that most coaches are trying to arrange. There is a reason for this.

    Bledisloe # 3 - Saturday 31st October, ANZ Stadium

Finally got the energy to watch the game after not having a chance at the time and being pretty depressed at the result. I find myself a little surprised. The centre pairing was a major target for the ABs, especially in the first half. And our kicking effectiveness was no where close to the...

Add Hodge at 15 and agree Maddocks on the bench.

Banks fail at kick return had nothing to do with anything than his lack of attempting it. Don’t know about DHP as haven’t seen Bled 3 and probably won’t. But Banks reputation on kick return is his own doing.

You did not ask who FP would propose limited to previous selections by others. I’m with you all the same, Petaia at 13 if fit is one of the few locks in that back line.

He would be great cover for To’omua especially with the JOC (James O'Connor) combination. With both JOC (James O'Connor) and To'omua out I think this is the right selection. Not the same as saying I am confident in it though.

Absolutely. Ridiculous suggestion. He has time on his side, let it happen.

Wilson is frequently the target at the Reds. Granted that WB poor line out performance has resulted in a focus on shorter versions.
