    Where to for Super Rugby?

I think a bit of logic would come into play. Yes he is from Lismore but was schooled at Ipswich and been in Queensland ever since. I'd say he'd be drafted into a Qld side. Similar with Harry Wilson being born in Gunnedah.

    Wallabies 2020

OK, he will be picked though. Otherwise it's very close to the 23 we will see I reckon.

    Don’t rate Rodda?

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Have a 3rd All States/Barbarians team, anyone eligible for Wallabies selection can be picked

    Australian Rugby / RA

Hamish McLennan has been confirmed as the new director (not Chairman at this stage) and has pronounced he is going to overhaul the code, by pushing for a State Of Origin series and a Big Bash Style Super Rugby. Whatever that means.

There was calling and strategy, magic number 8.

That sounds like Kurtley to me.

At that meeting, which the captains describe as “very positive”, Wiggs gave the players a number of undertakings that RA would: • Confirm a review process, consistent with the one outlined in the captains’ Australian Rugby Review Board charter. • Form three operating committees in the areas of...

    Wallabies 2020

Yes it was probably bit unfair to even comment on him, and I nearly didn’t. The point I was trying to make was that even our best lineout option isn’t spectacular so there isn’t a lot of room to move with the others. But he’s certainly good, and our best, so kudos to him. Agreed re Phillip.

And the 1991 Wallabies only drew from 2 teams really

Naisarani isn't a renowned jumper. He's in the 'can jump but don't rely on him' category. LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) is Ok but someone like Retallick will eat him. Rodda is only just too, he's no Eales.

    Wallabies 2020

yes. Or one of the young Queenslanders, but they look too light for test rugby at this stage. As stated though we can't have a lineout relying on Rodda/LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto)/Valetini/Naisarani, not as jumpers anyway. You could potentially get away with it by using Hooper as a jumper and skylabbing him though...

    Reds 2020

There is a fellow here in Mudgee who (so the story goes) was keeping Latham in 2nd grade at Narrabri and so he went off to play for Goondiwindi so he could get a 1st grade berth. Obviously that was pre-professional and before he played for the Tahs initially, but still his initial defection.

    Aussie Player Exodus

I did initially have KB (Kurtley Beale) on there but swapped him with Alan. Although he is highly paid he's only signed till the end of the year and I suspect transparency would have come into play during the negotiations.

    Aussie Player Exodus

6 players. My guess would be AAA, Hooper, Sio, Kuridrani, To'omua and DHP. Players who they don't want to lose but can understand them chasing some dollars in the off season at this stage of their careers.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

The NRL are the target in this morning's Australian, they're facing the 'black hole' now, to the tune of $250m.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I can’t speak for the NZ components of this but I agree completely with the domestic aspects. Sounds like the Kiwis are happy to play with NZ Pesos anyway, so whatever happens happens.

    Australian Rugby / RA

The best analogy (of what should be) I can think of is the 2011 merger of the Australian Jockey Club and Sydney Turf Club. I won’t delve into the background, there is plenty out there for those who are interested, but the AJC (read private schools [pro rugby]) represented the history of horse...

    Wallabies 2020

I didn’t suggest he did. I was saying that a dicky heart is an equally justifiable reason not to pick him to play for Australia. And before you say he would have been a certainty otherwise, I’ll agree, but Ned Hanigan would be a certainty too if he was 20kg heavier. Which he isn’t. EDIT: I...
