    Waratahs 2013

On the Tah's website listed as Fullback. I had him, but everybody says he can't pass, and only this morning some one said he would be suited to league??? - I've seen him do good things but it all depends on angles, inside players creating wholes, and distribution as well to the wingmen. I'm...

    Waratahs 2013

Yes agree, this is where we I think we will have problems, Tah's have aluded to it on their website player profiles. We have 2 Centres, 1 Inside = Carter / 2 Outside Horne listed out of 35 players and that is where I'm having problems with me selctions. I said they wouldn't be my first choice...

    Waratahs 2013

Not a Tah's supporter hey. People werent rating the Brumbies at the start of last year - they played good rugby. Nathan's thought out team you rated - they wouldnt be my choice either, but I do think there personel is there to have a cracker year with the right "game plan". I am not a Carter fan...

    Shute Shield 2013

Coach you been around to long and must have read a number of posts. If all teams had the same personel as Uni it would be the holy grail, undoubted - 12 teams full of super players fantastic for family fan base that wants to enjoy a day of rugby. How good would it be for NSWRU, and ARU. We all...

Who should be the next ARU CEO?

Good choice, my suggestion Sth Districts and South (Illawarra, Kiama,) was purely due to the foudation that Southen could provide were as I dont know the Hunter well enough to pass comment. I'm looking at Rep Teams based on geographics and not the ARU placing players like they did with the ARC...

Who should be the next ARU CEO?

QH going back to the early 90's and prior there use to be; Nth Hbr v South Harbour. Sydney v Country ACT Kookuburras has a team. What about start the SS around the same time as S15 (about 6 weeks earlier than proposed), and modify these "Rep" teams a little with the comp after the SS finishes...

    Wallaby playing Style

Why - game plan, as TOCC said above mitigant foward dominance, or lack of, know the oposition and structure a suitable game, have 1 - 22 know that game, by playing the right angles, and position on the park, the team can go forward and build the required pressure. I've seen stats posted with...

    Wallaby playing Style

TOCC - agree on the above, and your thoughts a bit further back in regards to dominance of forward pack and mitigating this. Spot on. As I mentioned just above we appear to have the same game plan whether playing # 1, or # 12 in the world rankings. As for choice in 7, I'd go for Hoops for the...

    Wallaby playing Style

Two different model players wearing the same jersey. I believe Pocock posibly better suites the style of game Deans has been coaching, kick it away and be strong over the ball in defence. That aspect I believe Pockock is stronger. However Hoops is not far behind in this area, and brings another...

Who Should Run The Wallabies Attack in 2013?

How long has Lilo been on the fringe for, is he always injured, did he go out of sight when a different game plan was coached - extract from the 2008 WOBS squad announcement; Players also not considered for selection in the Qantas Wallabies squad or the Australia A squad due to injury: PLAYER...

    Wallaby playing Style

QH; I may go around a domminant forward pack here. The game evolves, I dont think coaching does - you have to understand the game, and the opposition, and then have your players execute. I dont think management does - being a peoples person whilst holding respect and authority, is a key point to...

Who Should Run The Wallabies Attack in 2013?

I am saying, not suggesting the WOBS current game plan frustrates me, albiet the Super Rugby Comp is a different comp there was a distinctive different game plan. This thread - who should run the Wallabies attack? Back when I played attack meant scoring tries and I believe with the game plan...

Who Should Run The Wallabies Attack in 2013?

But that was not under Deans, a different game is played under Deans

Who Should Run The Wallabies Attack in 2013?

Brumby runner agree with the content, and Cooper with Lilo sitting on the fringe, but Cooper was fit at the start of the WC and our attack was poor (non existant, we kicked continuosly landing just outside of the 22). We saw Cooper's gifted talents in the 2011 Super Season under Link, then post...

Who Should Run The Wallabies Attack in 2013?

And the ackolades newbie Hooper received this year - he deserves to retain his spot (Wrong thread I know but I'm referencing new) Cooper to lead with Lilo close by

Something in the water, throw in Luke Jones at 6 as well? :)

    Waratahs 2013

I know and totally agree, i think he will get some good game time down there. Only made the point because someone said we were short on flankers, and he was one NSW should have paid attention to.

Who Should Run The Wallabies Attack in 2013?

That is my point, the game plan sucked

    Waratahs 2013

Flankers - Hooper, Ale, Gilbert, I think the shute sheild has some depth there if required (I would have like NSW to pick up Jordy Ried). Inside backs - I'm concerned about 12. 5/8 Lane / Volavola and the to fullbacks in Foley and Barnes.
