My comments about Kuridrani have been in relation to the Wallaby training squad or love-in that occurred in January. According to the Brumbies' website, the only Brumbies involved were Sio, Fainga'a, Ala'alatoa and Pocock. I have on a couple of occasions asked if anyone here knows who the...

Has been all over news reports for the past week or more. What dark little corner of the world do some people live in?

And accountable QH. If that accountability had been evident over the past 3 - 4 years, we would never be in the abysmal situation that has been the Wallabies in that time.

I think I gave my reasoning for thinking Larkham would not necessarily have stuck with Beale because he doesn't fit the structured play that Larkham is/was known for. I agree that Powell is a 50/50 call, but he had very strong support from Larkham when he was first brought into the Wallabies...

Logic seems to be in the eye of the beholder, KOB. It seems to me that Larkham would not logically have argued for the continued selection of Beale at 12 for the Wallabies, when his style of play is so disruptive to a structured game plan that we all think was the Larkham way. That looks like...

Makes a much more plausible story than the alternative from the Cheika apologists that Cheika is a hands off coach who left all the detail to his Assistants to work out. I have no idea where Larkham will finish or go next to in his coaching career. My beef is that Cheika as head coach...

Should the rest of us be reporting them when we see them Ozt? There are a couple in some of the Match threads this morning.

No 12 then becomes a mystery. Irae Simone or JJH? Both had a bit of time there last year. Or Hawera switched to 12? Two playmakers might be the go, but his defence would be suspect. Maybe Tom Wright who had an excellent introduction last week in that spot. Wright would probably be my...

My tip is that Sam will be much more appreciated for his skills over there than he is here at home. His form at the end of 2018 and last week in the trial are pointers to a very good 2019 for Sam.

Thanks RR and SX; Tupou is a definite starter and I'd really like to see Kerevi at 12 with Petaia at 13 for the Reds, and FU to Cheika if he wants anything different.

Who is missing from the likely Super starters Reg? I can think of JP Smith, Rodda, maybe Higgers. Kerevi and Naivalu. Any others?

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I think it is also a problem of reduced disposable income coming into play. Despite the protestations that the Economy is going great guns, the real, working man's economy has gone backwards over the past many years. I believe the drop in match attendances and reduced club memberships aligns...

Of the new players, both Wright and Lolesio were impressive, I thought. Osborne also showed some good glimpses late. Sam Carter is also in good form, continuing from his finish to 2018. The Brumbies will again be well served for locks, with Darcy Swain coming on in leaps and bounds.

That was Rob Valetini UTG. If he stays fit this year, he will be a big chance of joining Pocock and Naisarani in the Wallabies back row, short of Cheika doing his usual favourites thing.

Wow, that was an ordeal. 90 minutes of rugby in 40 - 41 degrees heat, and only on Asahi Black to quench the thirst. It was really tough as a spectator, so I can't imagine how hard that was for the players. The result was not as important as the manner in which the teams played the game. For...

Current temperature in Canberra 41C. Expected to cool to 30C by 8pm with 50% chance of rain during the match. Maybe a good match to watch from inside the club.
