RY, hard to improve on that. Pity you are not in charge of selections. EDIT : I'd still take both Petaia and Valetini as development players.

I actually involuntarily laughed out loud when I read that.

Reg, The apathy is deafening. Anyway, I'll have a go at it: 3. Sio 2. Pocock 1. Naivalu

NRC Grand Final 2018 - Fiji Drua v QLD Country

Kiap, if Fox pull out, the only way rugby will be shown on FTA is if RA is willing to pay for it. Do you think that will happen, and what effect would that have on RA's revenue/bottom line?

    Brumbies 2019

I'm pretty sure Slipper's opportunities will come at LHP but not to start over the current Wallabies' LHP. I reckon Sio will start most games and Slipper will come on early in the second half. They'll both get lots of game time.

Wallabies v All Blacks, Sat 27th October 4.45pm AEDT, Nissan Stadium, Japan

And allowed to play with some freedom rather than just be the hit it up man by McKellar late in the Super Rugby season showed that he has a lot more to offer in attack too. His line breaking and off loading was a pleasure to watch. TK is the best option for the No 13 and Petaia will probably play more...

    Brumbies 2019

Still getting your LHPs and THPs mixed up Whisperer. Agree with MarkJ that Sio will start at LHP and Allan Ala'alatoa at THP. Slipper and Makin on the bench. Definitely one of McCaffery or Cusack in place of Hyne, who is marginal Super standard imo. Enever or Swain on the bench to cover...

Wallabies v All Blacks, Sat 27th October 4.45pm AEDT, Nissan Stadium, Japan

Was it last year's EOYT or the year before, when Speight and Naivalu were swapping the wing spot and both were defending at 13 in the games they played? Neither was up to the mark, and it led to quite a few critical comments about the players in the threads at the time. I think it was before...

Has Naivalu actually had any game time for the Rebels this year? Seems to spend his whole time when not injured on the bench.

    Rebels 2019

Magnay would have to get himself a consistent starting spot at the Rebels first, and that won't be an easy thing with the quality already on the books. What would be the evidence referred to in the article, I wonder?

    Reds 2019

On all the evidence, I'd have to say that Cheika isn't clued into anything rugby, let alone Super or NRC. I do agree that Naivalu really isn't the answer for the Reds who are trying to fill the fullback spot. Remind me again - who are the wingers at the Tahs?

    Wallabies 2018 Spring Tour

Cheika is on record as saying he wants more alignment between the Wallabies and the Super Rugby teams. Does he really mean he wants Hodge and Koroibete (and Genia for that matter) to play the same defensive systems at the Rebels as he and Grey have them playing for the Wallabies? If that is alignment...

NRC Grand Final 2018 - Fiji Drua v QLD Country

Be ultra wary of giving the ball back to the Drua, no matter how good the kicking seems to be.

    Rebels 2019

Naisarani has a huge motor and is a dominant player in contact. I expect he will shine in 19 and make the backrow for the Wallabies.

NRC 2nd Semi - Queensland Country v western force

Exactly. Deegan has been very good all NRC season long, but he put in a poor showing in this match. I am also warming to Stewart a bit. I don't think he is yet managing backline play well, but he is a good, solid footballer and it is good to see a No 10 who is not a turnstile. Hopefully, he will...

NRC 2nd Semi - Queensland Country v western force

Re RR? Tough and Rod Davies do not go together. Rocket is a prime example of an athlete with serious pace not being good at the fundamentals of rugby. Give him the ball with space and he'll most likely outrun the opposition, but his rugby nous is extremely low.

    Wallabies 2018 Spring Tour

I don't think Kerevi should be included until he shows that he's back to fitness and form, though how he will do that before the EOYT is beyond me. I would prefer Folau to remain on the wing as I've never been impressed with him at 13, but what are the alternatives? Petaia will probably stay...

    Wallabies 2018 Spring Tour

Have seen a report that Cottrell will remain for the EOYT. Training with the Wallabies sure is a hazardous occupation.
