Crowds booing Australians is about the only genuine tradition the sport of sevens has. Must be nice for the team to be on the other side for one tournament a year.

Seen some suggestion that it might be medication for personal issues, like fertility.

Will be very interesting to see how a July tour works with premiership and Top 14 start dates (currently 3 Sep & 20 Aug). Will they push those start dates back as well? And if they do will the clubs be happy with an international break after just a month or so for the reciprocal tours? When...

My view is that #3 Canada is in contact with her after the ball has been released and she's on her feet, therefor a ruck is formed and she's not entitled to pick it up. Unless the ref decided she was never held in the tackle....But then is it a knock-on?

I thought the Canadian non-tackle player made contact with her over the ball before she picks it up, so ruck. Anyway, Ref said play on so you're right.

Is that not a ruck when she handles the ball?

Massive crowd at the first game of women's AFL on 7mate tonight. Might have a similar problem attracting female athletes sooner than we think!

I agree to a point, but you pay your players what you have to, to retain them. And there's a lot more competition for the men's signatures (in theory anyway). If we want a competitive men's team, we probably have to pay them more than they get now. Obviously, that's not the case at the moment...

Cost for ground hire goes up with more people in the ground right? So higher price, fewer people gets you more $$$ (who keeps the money from extra beers and chips?)
