    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

TBH, if it does turn out to be true I would watch it, provided the top players are playing, which presumably they would be. I’d be surprised if it was anything beyond a fill gap for this year though, and it would be an interesting exercise from which to construct a domestic comp model from if...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Isn’t the other issue that community sport hasn’t been given the go ahead yet? Other than U18s starting contact training from July 1 that is.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

It does say it’s only a rumour. The other rumour is that a deal from Fox to broadcast the AU is imminent to fulfil the remainder of this years obligations

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I don’t dispute at all that the broadcast environment in general has deteriorated. What I was saying is that a Super rugby comp under a TT format would have to be worth more (on a per team basis) than whatever they were prepared to pay under the current (2021 pre-CV19) format.

    Australian Rugby / RA

Yeah that, and Muzza's post above, community sport given the green light, and this just came through on my email: EXCLUSIVE: Bateman in talks to walk out on NRL in $3.5m return to Super League England international John Bateman is in talks to return to English Super League powerhouse Wigan...

    Australian Rugby / RA

certainly makes sense for this season there is literally no spot for it on the calendar, unless it was running in conjunction with Super and/or the Bledisloes, in which case there would be next to no-one watching it.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Had to laugh at this cheap shot fucknuckle Wally Mason chucked in at the bottom of today’s article.

^^there are a lot of development officers out in the regions too. There are 2 in our zone and I was talking to one of them recently, although they run around in Waratahs kit they are actually on the RA payroll. I assume it’s the same for the other states. Some would say they are unnecessary...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

They are but I still don’t think they would be allowed in without the 14 days quarantine. And I doubt they have been training! I think Samoa and Tonga have had 0 cases, but Fiji has had a few. I haven’t checked that for recency though.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Would be nice indeed. I’ve convinced myself that the $10-18m is related to this season only. 4 Bledisloes would have to be worth at least $20m, so $10m to us, and the remaining $0-8m dependant on whether or not we have a super AU comp at all, and then whether it’s 2 or 3 games a week. So with...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I think it's hard to work out what the indications actually are. At this stage we don't even know what the format of the comp is, so broadcasters don't know what they are bidding on. For all we know the $10-18m which was bandied about last week might just be for the Super AU comp and the...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Apologies for the duplication, I just posted this on the broadcast thread but it's pertinent here too. With respect to the future, if we do go down the TT path you would have to think that whatever the previous Super format was worth to Fox, the TT only version would have to be worth more...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

just for this year I think, with regards to the broadcasting revenue for the Super AU comp. With respect to the future, if we do go down the TT path you would have to think that whatever the previous Super format was worth to Fox, the TT only version would have to be worth more. Surely. The...

    Australia domestic rugby 2020

If they are allowing 50 people in pubs and thousands in shopping malls then you'd think they could allow some fans in and spread them out. Perhaps restrict it to members of the teams playing for now, would have the knock on effect of getting some much needed cash into the franchises via...
