    Reds 2011

I got my first look Gill at the sevens this weekend. He is going to need to bulk up. He is fairly small. The front row is going to involve some tough selections. I like a Holmes, Fainga'a, Sheperdson front row and if Link goes the two props on the bench, Daley and Slipper are going to make...

    The End of the Sprinkboks

Serious question Blue, any chance of having both? Springbok stays out of tradition but the Protea along side it to represent national unity.

    Brumbies 2011

My guess is they will play 4 quaters. Should be no excuse though as these are proffessional athletes. B graders play in the heat of the day all the time up here. Kick off is 7:30 which is just on dark. Febuary is monsoon season so they might end up with more water than they bargened for. I...

    Commonwealth Games Rugby 7s

Not sure Groucho but the NT ABC might have somthing. They cover a lot of rugby up here.

Lineout looked fine. Scrum was ok but not domminant. What impressed me was when the ball was tied up, we hit the ruck with good intensity. We drifted in attack which on occasions ate up the space of our outside men and we were bundled into touch.

    Brumbies 2011

The Brumbies pre season match in Darwin will be against the Reds and will be played on Febuary the fourth. This is going to be huge for rugby in the NT.

    Commonwealth Games Rugby 7s

Australia looked good. Morahan was brilliant and recieved player of the tournament. Turner did not play in the final and was all iced up. I don't know what the story is there or if it as just precautionary. To be fair, Samoa looked flat in the final and I would not use that as measure of...

    Reds 2011

I say that as I am sure more game time would of been part of the deal when Lucas resigned. When he started at fullback in the last game against the Highlanders, I wouldn't be suprised if Link was testing the waters. I still think he will be our back up scrum half option but I don't think he...

    Reds 2011

Link will go to Lucas in the absence of Quade. Lucus will see more game time also this year and my tip is it will be at fullback.

    Refs for the tour

I don't like Rolland reffing the HK game. I can see him blowing the pea out of the whistle in what shapes up to be a fantastic fast paced game.

    Commonwealth Games Rugby 7s

Will be interesting. There is a good chance that it might not be great sevens weather sadly. The times those games are on is normally when we get thunderstorms roll through and we have had some beauties roll through in the last couple of days. Going to check it out on Saturday and will let...

MacQueen turned the Wallabies around in one pre-season

I would think it a case of second year syndrome. That don't mean he is not a good player but I just think he had to adapt to being a marked man. Burgess copped it last year.

MacQueen turned the Wallabies around in one pre-season

Don't forget he was also one of our best on last years EOYT. He carried that form into the super 14.

MacQueen turned the Wallabies around in one pre-season

Agree FP. The not closing out games is more a mental issue than a physical one. It will change as our players accumulate more experience.

MacQueen turned the Wallabies around in one pre-season

Macqueen had a large experienced player base with many regarded as the best in the world. A large portion had won a World Cup. Most of Deans players have never even played in a World Cup. Macqueen had to build a winning culture while Deans has had to build both a player base and a winning...

Robbie Deans: the All Blacks are fucking cheats

Yes. Horwill, Palu, TPN, Alexander. I don't use it as an excuse though. The credit to NZ is that with the exception of DC, I would not back any of those you mention to unseat their replacments given the form they have shown. As for Deans, it was all dandy when he was at the Crusaders so I...

    How hard is the Tri-Nations?

Reddy, I took your original post to mean mental toughness. The tri nations is right up near the top if that is the case.
