I'm not trying to defend RA. The hiring of a foreign number 10 would not be in the interests of Australian rugby at the moment and it would be poor administrtation for RA to sign off on it. It wouldn't be in the QRUs interest either and would be a cop out by the QRU to take some sort of moral...

Whatever the failings of the ARU, surely they are entitled to expect Qld to share culpability for our lack of depth. It's would be a bit rich to turn around and say 'not our problem'. In any case, it is not in the Reds long term interests bring in a starting 10. A first class fullback maybe...
