Homophobic remark in Tahs Brumbies game

Their certainly is a fine line. If you call them a bastard and they are indeed a bastard it could be highly offensive. Likewise calling a player a girl would be considered sexist. However for a professional rugby player it should be easy to sledge, Just don't cross the line of personal...

Waratahs v Brumbies, round 6, Sunday 22 March

This is true. You know Foley is the type of player who does a lot of things you don't notice at first glance. After viewing the game I thought to myself "I didn't notice Foley at all except for the goalkicking". But since then I was presented with some impressive ball running and tackle bust...

Waratahs v Brumbies, round 6, Sunday 22 March

Just because i don't rate Foley as a flyhalf doesn't mean I have a Tah bias. u supporters really need to stop being so defensive, not everyone is out to get the Tahs. In your own words "give it a rest". For the record I thought he played well, I just thought To'omua was better given his superb...

Waratahs v Brumbies, round 6, Sunday 22 March

Impressive stats. But they do not reflect his ability to distribute and set up the attack. His job at the Tahs is to straighten the attack and give Beale space to do the playmaking. This is reflected by his high run metres. (as well as his superb support play). To his credit, he did this well...

Homophobic remark in Tahs Brumbies game

Agreed. That way the offence can't be repeated through-out the game. If allegations of last year are true then the Brumbies made the mistake of being quiet last year and look what happened, the same offence re-occurred this year. Needs to be stamped out immediately.

Homophobic remark in Tahs Brumbies game

Maybe for a one-off incident, But it happened twice in the game and also apparently happened last year too. So are players suppose to stay quiet and let Potgeiter continue calling players f*ggots through-out the remainder of the game? For me, it needed immediate action so it wouldn't continue...

Homophobic remark in Tahs Brumbies game

Poey did the right thing. And its not like he walked off field in protest. He put the problem forward, then continued to play rugby. Well done. Potgeiter clearly in the wrong. But let's assume it's more ignorance rather than malice. Lesson learned. Time to move on.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Beale much better then Lilo but still no evidence of his weakness in defence improving. The game involved lots of broken play. This is where Beale shines, probably one of the best broken play runners. Unfortunately I don't rate any parts of his other game and unfortunately their isn't as much...

Waratahs v Brumbies, round 6, Sunday 22 March

Apart from basically the whole NZ backline. But he is good in that area. Its probably too late now but I think the Tahs should of had Beale at 10 and Foley at 12.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

As good as McCalman is playing I still don't rate his effectiveness at Test rugby. Same with Ben Alexander. Great super rugby players, average Test players.

Waratahs v Brumbies, round 6, Sunday 22 March

So many dropped balls though. And some uncharacteristic individual brain farts. Would never of expected Carter to give away such a silly penalty, Or Speight to try a chip and chase. Kuridrani was losing the ball in contact. Lots of Brumbies pushing passes. They certainly didn't seem to have the...

Waratahs v Brumbies, round 6, Sunday 22 March

You know defence is half of the game right? He defended well. Was busy all game. For me, Foley just shuffles the ball along, although his support play is superb. A close call, but I would still give it to To'omua slightly.

Waratahs v Brumbies, round 6, Sunday 22 March

I disagree. I think it was Beale who was bringing the back-line together more-so then Foley.

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

I agree with this. Still early days but I think the signs are there that Pocock can be just as good as he used too. Already a decent pilfer against the Tahs.

Waratahs v Brumbies, round 6, Sunday 22 March

Actually I thought To'omua had a better game then Foley. Agree with the rest. Don't think anyone else outplayed their opposite number.

    Wallaby Locks

I actually agree with everything you said. Having a Brumbie bia's though I'm tipping Vaea for the wallaby 8 spot. Which means having only 4,5 and 6 jumpers. (i don't think Vaea jumps does he?). Otherwise I like the idea of Fardy, Simmons, Higgers/McCalman with Skelton.

    Wallaby Locks

I don't think he was a huge success. He was a solid starter but certainly did not live up to his reputation in Europe. Also turned out to be a pretty bad Captain that apparently wasn't respected by his peers. Maybe not the exact same scenario, but I think it was a mistake to name Rocky Captain...

    Wallaby Locks

Bringing Douglas back to start for the wallabies could be like Rocky Elsom all over again. But at least Rocky had some good Test match experience and was coming off superb form in Ireland. Douglas isn't even in the same league and he is being considered, what a joke.

    Wallaby Locks

Yes scrummaging has improved but needs more then a couple of super xv games to prove he is up to standard. Although agree he is on the right track. Line-out is the biggest issue though, he might have taken some line-outs but their is no denying he is a much slower jumper. He would almost...

    Wallaby Locks

Is Carter & Arnold really a big strong lock combination? Certainly wouldn't call Carter big and strong as he is far from dominating into contact, he is more of a workhorse. So IMO it's more of a balanced combination. Ideally, the best combo around the park would be Carter/Simmon and Skelton...
