    Wallabies 2019 Thread

The mantle of "world's most unlikable halfback" is much like Highlander...........

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

I find that strange........ he can't be anywhere near as unlikable as the shoe throwing, ref abusing, Claire Danes cry-face Nick Phipps?

    Brumbies 2019

Most definitely, although a win today would've added a nice buffer, especially with the Tahs tough away trip missing a number of key players, and the Rebels having two away games against the top Kiwi teams. Still, if the Brumbies win all their remaining matches they have a good chance of the...

    Brumbies 2019

The Brumbies still have another bye to come, so they really needed that win this morning to keep them in the hunt......... Relying on other teams to lose has never worked out that well for them.

Rd 11: Brumbies v Jaguares, Buenos Aires, 28 April 7:40am AEST

Aside from all the dropped balls............ Matt Lucas aimlessly kicking the ball away when the Brumbies had the ascendancy in the first half added a few more grey hairs.

Rd 11: Brumbies v Jaguares, Buenos Aires, 28 April 7:40am AEST

Positives....... er, let's see......... Folau Fainga'a......... Brumbies' set piece......... Kuridrani played well - didn't always just try to bash over his opposite number, and was a beast in defence........ Brumbies defence almost as good as last week........ Tom Banks slicing through...

Rd 11: Brumbies v Jaguares, Buenos Aires, 28 April 7:40am AEST

Well, that was a match the Brumbies could've won if they were able to hold onto the ball........ too many opportunities lost due to dropped balls. Their defence was solid again, but they need to work on their ball security.

R11: Waratahs vs Sharks @ Western Sydney Stadium - Saturday 27 April 2019

Their forwards gave them some momentum.......... The Sharks really didn't capitalise on their extra men, and possibly would've lost if Holloway didn't lose his mind.

    Shute Shield 2019

Henry Clunies-Ross lucky to be alive after the corner post tore apart his leg........ https://www.canberratimes.com.au/story/6092746/club-rugby-players-battle-with-deadly-flesh-eating-bug/?cs=14260

Yeah, he had some great insight into the Wallaby lineout issues last year........... It's a shame the Wallabies haven't taken it into account.

R11: Waratahs vs Sharks @ Western Sydney Stadium - Saturday 27 April 2019

Er, attack the ball, or even some form of kicking that allows your teammate to regather the ball like a grubber or chip kick? Actually using the advantage......... Not a territorial kick which is just a complete waste of a penalty advantage as you're just booting the ball away for no reason...

R11: Waratahs vs Sharks @ Western Sydney Stadium - Saturday 27 April 2019

......... Just to reiterate - it was a territorial kick, not a tactical grubber or chip for a teammate to regather, which would make sense on a penalty advantage.

R11: Waratahs vs Sharks @ Western Sydney Stadium - Saturday 27 April 2019

Nah, booting the ball downfield into the corner for territory wouldn't make too much sense on a penalty advantage........... It's a complete waste of advantage because you'd just come back for the penalty.

R11: Waratahs vs Sharks @ Western Sydney Stadium - Saturday 27 April 2019

Actually, it was a knock on advantage.......... if it had been a penalty advantage it would've definitely been a stupid decision. And if the kick had not have gone out on the full it would've likely been caught by the Sharks player. But the point was it was a poorly executed kick, hence:

R11: Waratahs vs Sharks @ Western Sydney Stadium - Saturday 27 April 2019

By booting the ball 40m out on the full? Are we even talking about the same thing?

R11: Waratahs vs Sharks @ Western Sydney Stadium - Saturday 27 April 2019

Kicking the ball out on the full is a great way to play advantage............

He'd also have to get better at throwing lineouts..........
