    TPN being flown to Europe

Indeed. There was heated debate over it, but recall that discussion re the use (or misuse) of TPN in BaaBaas 2 in Gosford. He went back on again that match and his injury seemed to really worsen for the double use (Fp argued with me that this didn't matter, he was heading for a predicted ankle...

    Wallabies v Leicester Tigers

But gents, why on earth here: Ma'afu, Brown, Giteau? Why take highly known commodities into this game? Or at the very least put the former 2 on the bench, and trial promising lesser-knowns (at this level) for the run-on. Whatever, this will be an intriguing match, and there'll be some moments...

    Scrum - Wallabies Vs Wales

Thanks Topo. Time line for assessment: Marseilles October 2007....Cardiff November 2010. Major scrum improvements during 2008: yes. 2009 just OK in scrum/forwards land, but no further core improvement that were sustained by any of forwards depth, technique or better w-l results clearly driven by...

    All Blacks EOYT

EFR - if you are a Foxtel subscriber, you can quickly online take out a 'via Foxtel' Setanta subscription for a couple of months (or longer) and via Setanta you can watch the ABs' game on Foxtel (ch 525 from memory, but pls check), plus watch it via Setanta's internet service as well! Once you...

    Hooray! A No-Bullshit, Non-PC , Wallaby Statement!

Just loved these quotes (link below) from QC (Quade Cooper). It's great to hear a good player talking with a lot of pride, no bullshit, nothing whatever from the Modern Dictionary of Meaningless Media Statements and Management Gobbledegook (take notice Robbie). Surely this is 'ARU - Uncensored'...and all the...

ONE HD: Rise and Rise of Aussie Rugby

The pay was excellent this time.

    Gits quits

JB - perhaps a bad choice of an ambiguous word in 'still'. I should have said 'still today in his current role', as I agree entirely, Gits has performed some excellent duties for Australia back a while - some years back IMO - in his career. No issue there, the issue today is one of deterioration...

    Gits quits

Umm, JB, are you quite serious? It is surely not 'good on him'. For the good of the team, the long-suffering Wallaby fans, and the longevity of MG himself, the facts make clear that it is obvious that MG should have been removed from these duties, worse case, at the conclusions of 2009's EOYT...

    Gits quits

Spot on. Mental readiness, calm mind, detachment from crowd factors, etc are no doubt a crucial components of the total skill set required. One of the many reasons goal kicking at the top level lends itself to coaching specialisation. I am delighted at Giteau's long, long-overdue withdrawal...

I hate to break up the party

Excellent point, and one I'd neglected. And Italy's the right game for it, as you say. Florence is a v pleasant place for the main XV to wander around in in their spare time ;-).

I hate to break up the party

TBH - you noted I hope that I suggested KB (Kurtley Beale) @ 10, in one game only, Italy, after W and E, right? One of many reasons for proposing this: I am a great fan of QC (Quade Cooper), but, at Test level, there is just this eerie sense I (increasingly) have of instability, volatility and something dangerously erratic...

I hate to break up the party

Fair enough Barb....but...: - an average of 8 + PD over these 3 games permits say a win of 12 points (Wales?), one of 8 (England?) and one of 4 (France?). Not too tough a stretch there if we are able to repeat the capability shown in HKG, but against arguably 3 lesser teams. Just a bit better...

I hate to break up the party

Closet Euphoria: When to Come Out? Agree, TBH, and it's clear that there are many flaws in the team and its skill levels to fix yet before we could contemplate, for example, moving ahead of the ABs as a realistic possibility, or that we will build a robust Wallaby winning streak into 2011...
