I hope I am right to, when I see someone trying to improve, I tend to give them some slack, I see Skelton as growing up. He suffered his first serious pro injury, didn't manage himself professionally and paid the price for a load of time. But when I see getting his shit together physically...

    Waratahs 2017

Yeah, I believe he is a season or two away from being a world class lock. Last season he began to play actually like a lock and get lighter and fitter. It is a challenge for those physical freaks that they get there too quickly, with too many flaws their physical presence hid. They get...

    Waratahs 2017

I thought Folau was simply excellent at 13 last season. His ability to beat that first defender at 13 makes for so many options for support runners, as his threat makes the other defenders stay uncommitted to cover missed tackles on him opening space for the support runners. I expect that to...

It is getting the consistency that concerns me, not that they don't have great potential.

The term is "realistic", dads army looks like pretty good for this season

I found it strange that the "Roar" had the Tahs ahead the Reds this season in their predictions. They look to me to be in for a season of both highs and lows, but not consistent enough to be a real threat

Highly unlikely to see it with Cheika & Larkham running the Wobs, they like their ball playing 12 Next season I expect Beale to be playing 12 for the Wobs with Gits out of the picture

It may not have worked, but there was some clear logic to their inclusion, even Kerevi and Kurindrani being available didn't fill the hole at 12 all season.

I don't think Mitchell (or AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)) would have been considered if we had better wingers ready at the start of the season. We had no one with any experience sitting there ready to go. Same with Horwill, lots of newbie locks, so MC has a safety call

    Ruck Stats - England V Wallabies - 3 Dec 2016

Big effort from Douglas in 61 minutes, he was doing his job

Well, not a great example, Genia could have been injured with the same result. As was Gits; and then spent a few games working out an option.

And then we would have been relying on Phipps; and this place would have been unbearable As to the intangible asset, that lasts for a while, but it comes a time when a player needs to consider their financial future. The current rule of 60 tests to be considered is not unreasonable, it is a...

British & Irish Lions tour of New Zealand (2017)

I wouldn't get too excited about who "could" play. The preliminary games will cull 7 or 12 from the possibles as they fly home wounded

I disagree, if a player meets the criteria (60 tests) and can add value to the team, I see no issue with it. It isn't like they were holding back I think the correlation between Aus's performance this year and having Gits, Genia, Mitchell et al around the squad is simply bullocks. We can...

He is off to play for Saracens, not some dodgy park side, they are one of the best teams in the world playing on an artificial track. I think he gets this gig because Etzebeth didn't take it up

Better than him sitting at home putting on weight again, he maybe the type of unit that is better playing than training Still 24, that is fetus like in tight forward years

I don't think with the load of newbies being integrated this season having a load of experienced old heads around the squad is/was a bad idea at all If they can add value, why not; and I just don't mean on the playing field, but also on the training paddock, the team hotel, the rehab rooms etc etc
