Brumbies vs Reds, week 3 2011

Losing both locks in the first 20 minutes was the killer blow. I was there that night and we faught on bravely but the Brumbies just picked us off. It was also one of the few nights last year where Giteau had a good game. I remember the fixture two years before that but more for the Huxley...

    OK, who's injured?

I am going to say this being a Reds fan but it's true. You can throw Crofty on that list also.

    Rob Horne

Horne is fantastic but more importantly the way he plays looks to be a great fit into the way the Wallabies attacked last year. I agree it is only round 3 and too early to tell. First things first, Mr Horne has to stay fit. When teams are firning all the individuals look impressive but we...

    OK, who's injured?

Bruce, I could think of a better bloke to have beside you in the trenches than Phil Waugh.

    OK, who's injured?

You know what those Tahs vs Reds matches are not the same without the Waugh vs Crofty blod fest. God I hope they take Waugh to the world cup.

Any updates on how the Anae at hooker thing is going?

    Waratahs vs Crusaders - 2011R03

I am going to have to go the Crusaders in this one. Both packs should have no trouble with clean ball but I don't think the Tahs will get on the front foot as much as the last two weeks. I wonder if the Saders will roll out the SBW and Fruen combo this week?

Put the boots on John Eales.

    Waratahs 2011

Bad news about Waugh. Mumm will be ok as captain but he has trouble controlling his own discipline let alone a team. I would replace one mature head with another and go with Baxter. I don't know if he has any form as a captain but he has the right head space.

Brumbies vs Reds, week 3 2011

Cooper is just being marked more. Even on the occasions when we are getting clean ball the defence is onto him. It is so obvious that if you shut down Cooper, you shut the entire Reds backline. What I have seen of Harris, he has a good kicking game, holds his own in defence and offers what the...

Brumbies vs Reds, week 3 2011

I would like to see what Hanson brings. He was good off the bench against the Force plus I think the competition between Saia and Hanson will be good. No great reason for this week in particular as it should happen sooner or later so I guess no time like the present.

Brumbies vs Reds, week 3 2011

Reds fans only have next week to look forward to and I'm sure Brumby Fans are feeling the same way. Reds. 1/ Greg Holmes 2/ James Hanson (give the bloke his shot) 3/ James Slipper 4/ Rob Simmons 5/ Van Humphries 6/ Scott Higgenbotham 7/ Beau Robinson 8/ Leroy Houston 9/ Will Genia...

    Waratahs v Reds Match Thread

On a horses for courses basis, he goes good at six. He had a bloody good game in the first round of last year. Then he moved back to lock for the second game. I think it is more about the dynamic of the pack around him more than just Kev at six. I accept the reality of the LHL and THL and...

    Waratahs v Reds Match Thread

Yes I must have. As I said in my original post I would not be wasting last years development of him in a world cup year. Douglas has masses of promise and I have not argued otherwise but transfering that into the international arena is not a developmental game to be pleyed in a RWC year...

I wouldn't mind trying Harris at inside centre next week. Copper is a marked man, so lets see if we can open up some options. Give Hanson a run at Hooker, leroy back to 8 and Robinson into 7. Let's try Gill on the bench.

Add me to the list as I think my pride has been wounded.

Congratulations Tah's fans on a much deserved win. I hope the Horwill injury is nothing serious. Douglas replacing Simmons is getting way ahead of yourselves who ever said it. Amongst a dull Reds performance he was a shining light plus it would be unwise to waste last years development of him...
