    Brisbane Wallaby player ratings

Good stuff as usual, G. Some comments: Hynes is everything Tuqiri isn't (and vice versa). We're certainly getting more value out of PH. Mortlock: it might just be time for the shoulder tap. A warrior of Aussie rugby, but, I'm more than ready for 12. Giteau 13. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper). Cordingly: was partly...

Wallabies v All Blacks III in Brisvegas

I'm going to try to defend Deans against both these charges. Deans frequently keeps players on for 80mins. Some coaches hook players at the 60 no matter what. Deans doesn't promise anyone a run, he waits to see what's happening. It has worked at Canterbury and I think it can work for the...

    The Cordingley Spite Thread

Which variety of Carlos do you want: Giteau, Beale, or Cooper. There's only 2 flyhalves who play more like Mehrtens: Barnes and SNK. I reckon 12. Giteau 13. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is a world-beating midfield.

    The Cordingley Spite Thread

OK, since nobody votes for me as Most Knowledgeable Poster anyway, I might as well post that I thought the Cordingley-Giteau combination was the most ACCURATE Wallaby combination of the tournament. Not the fastest or best, but at least when Cordingley picked the ball up and threw it, it tended...

Wallabies v All Blacks III in Brisvegas

Really high quality game, exciting game, players out on their feet, what more can we ask? Well, a couple of things, actually. The last ruck of the night said it all. I was screaming "GET UP HIM" at the Leura Golf CLub giant screen. Which was shorthand for "why are all you piggies lining up for...

Softcock Kiwis to choke ... on each other's squibs in a homo sauna. Wallabies too strong, too fast. Aus by 10.

    Silence before the battle?

Well, with Moore and Palu there, we ought to smash 'em.

    Scott Fava, journeyman

I'm with naza. Fava had a very poor 2008 IMO. Tries hard but the fastest he's moved in the last couple of years was chasing quokkas. Poor pick. I'd rather see Mowen move up a notch.

    Silence before the battle?

Honestly, I've been thinking about this game every day for the last week. Just got nothing to say except I'm going to OFF if we win. But we've definitely got a heart / head situation with this one.

    Super 15

One thing about the Australian rugby audience (at the ground and on TV): it's chock full of expatriots. If we played a game of rugby against Greece or Italy it would sell out. The 3N goes well here, no matter how boring it sometimes gets, because of all the Saffers and Kiwis.

    NSW club rugby thread

The one thing I'm sure of is that the clubs expected the ARU to create a domestic club competition to replace the ARC. Hasn't happened, so they're going to take charge of their own destinty. On the other hand, this could just be a rebellion against the points system.

Wallabies v All Blacks III in Brisvegas

NCA, You have the memory of a goldfish. Mortlock was excellent prior to the last game, when he was, as you say, rubbish. Let's wait until the old bloke has 2 bad games in a row before we shoot him, eh? But then again, I agree with naza about McMeniman and Mumm (McMenimumm?) so what would I know?

Playing rugby this year? POST HERE!

My secret identity has been unmasked! Can't comment on the pies at Sefton - Lindommer had one, though. The steak sandwich was a little tough and tasteless. Poor show.

Playing rugby this year? POST HERE!

Seriously, that was hard yakka. I could've bitten my own toes off by the end they were so numb. I think I might have been suffering exposure. It didn't stop raining for one second. But me and Lindommer (who has another pic of us, I think) sank a few and had a good time anyway. It would have...
