    Wallabies v Wales

waratahjesus, would your opinion of Pocock and JOC (James O'Connor) be any different if they were Waratah players?
  2. Groucho

    Wallabies v Wales

The bigger difference is that JOC (James O'Connor) has been forced to play out of position at fullback.

Paddy O'Brien apologises just not to Australia

I find it ironic how any supporters think that their team's performances at the scrum somehow gives them any scrum knowledge, and that includes Kiwis. We had years of other countries' fans sternly lecturing us on front row play, when they've never been in a scrum in their lives. :lmao:

    Wallabies v Wales

Absolutely. JOC (James O'Connor) is a very effective bootlaces tackler in the Giteau mode. He closed down Nonu very effectively in the S14 when Nonu was runing straight at him.

Ioane ruled out of Scots clash

People are such drama queens. We are into our third-choice centre pairing now: what can we expect. And this is Scotland, our weakest opponent on tour. It is not the end of the world.

GAGR Wallaby of the Year: v IRL

    3. Bam Bam 2. Fat Cat 1. Palu :lmao: @ waratahjesus, the stubborn contrarian. Pocock, what Pocock?

    Wallabies v Ireland

I can't understand the people who say Pocock 'will never be as good as Smith'. He's as good now as Smith is now and he's just a kid. Different skills, but what skills... more of a McCaw. Regarding the game, I'm putting together a collection to have Kaplan offed. I know a bloke in East London...

    JAMES OCONNOR

The process of blooding youth and building depth isn't RWC-centric. It is a permanent necessity which we have not properly addressed for a decade.

    JAMES OCONNOR

No one is questioning your right to disagree, Scarfman. This is a discussion forum after all, and there is no law about accepting what coaches say. :) I guess I'm in the group that agrees with Deans. We need depth and we need it developed efficiently. Lacking a large pool of players, that depth...

    JAMES OCONNOR

It's really amazing that Deans (who has no experience developing the best players in the world, after all) just cannot see what it as plain as day to sooooo many anonymous internet posters. :lmao: Just imagine how good Carter and McCaw would have been if we had been coaching them!

    4th Bledisloe in Tokyo

I concur that Ioane needs to run at 13 and Cooper at 10. We have no penetration at all and we need Giteau's fizz wider out, not at 10. Cooper has a great long pass and has not put a foot wrong in the Wallaby jersey.

    Smith boned?

Multiple opensides playing together don't 'compete' with each other : they spread the workload systemically.

    New England Kit

I don't understand. Where is the strawberry trifle in a tulip glass? Where is the baby in a blender? WHAT PRICE TRADITION?!? Well, at least they are still fat. Some traditions never change.

    Barnes joins Tahs!

They play Horne at 13 and Digby in the vacant back three slot, obviously.
  16. Groucho

    When is Rocky back???

Nah, there are no rules like that governing squads. Selectors can do as they please.

Who will be our starting half back in SA

Genia is a great prospect, but he needs to be developed. Wallaby rugby is full of players who stalled because they weren't ready. Let's not do that to Genia. Burgess is certainly inconsistent, but at his best he can be very good indeed, and his excellent running game is the perfect answer to a...

    LOTE Sacked

It would be Noddy, and therefore quite likely to be an agenda in motion, on reflection.

    LOTE Sacked

Well, the rumour that people are being coy in not mentioning here, is being discussed in far more detail in some other places.

    LOTE Sacked

Hopefully not in his 'back room'. :lmao:
