    Thoughts on Folau to rugby

Matthew Johns claimed this morning that Folau is more likely to stay in rugby at this stage. But, it appears that Johns is fairly out of the loop when it comes to Folau. Hope a decision is made soon. Hopefully Folau will stay.

    Force vs Reds - S15 Round 12 - 4 May 2013

Davies injured again? Is it his hamstring and any idea how long for?

Hurricanes vs Stormers Super Rugby R11 26 April

Also pulls down people's faces with his fists, apparently.

Playing two 15s in the starting XV

I would have had Gerrard at fullback instead of wing, where his pace would be a little less of an issue. Gerrard was not the right person to be on the flank at the end of a move, without a doubt (unless you needed someone to trample an outside back 1m from the line). Was it Gerrard who was...

    REBELS v CHIEFS Round 12

The mark of the teams higher in the ladder (e.g. Brumbies, Reds) is that they are more consistent week to week, and still manage to be competitive in their poorer weeks (which happen infrequently). Rebels and Force aren't there yet, they seem to be cometitive for a week or two, then give poor...

    Wallabies Watch

Is there an easy way of getting seasonal stats from rugbystats? The other missing stats are the errors (e.g. dropped balls) and missed tackles. Overall, I think we are lucky to have three wonderful players. Each offers something slightly different, so a horses for courses policy could apply.

    Crusaders v Rebels - Super Rugby Round 11 - 28 April 2013

I saw the same with Jones too. For some reason Jones was at tighthead behind PAE, and as soon as the pressure came on Jones seemed to shoot upwards and outwards. Having played second row, to me it looked like Jones wasn't low enough with a straight enough back and with his legs correctly set...

    Wallabies Watch

Actually, disagree on NZ fullbacks. I suggest you watch Dan Carter, and just how often the guy drops back in general play. Many fly halves move around in defence, not just Quade.

    Fantasy Super rugby 2013

I left Speight on the bench for Bernard Foley. That, along with the poor week from Moore (my captain), will likely cost me my cup round. My cup round opponent (Biddick, if that is anyone here) was actually going really well anyway. He also picked Lealiifano as captain, the bastard. Biddick...

    Crusaders v Rebels - Super Rugby Round 11 - 28 April 2013

Whitelock is a reserve level winger at best, if that. Guildford has plenty of class, but we have yet to see a lot of it this year since his "problems". Dagg's been good, but not yet outstanding. Dagg's been doing enough, but he has the ability to rip holes in teams and he hasn't done it this...

Reds v Blues, Round 11 2013, Attack of the Attack?

I think you'll find most Reds supporters realise how lucky the Reds were. There are always the few who view any win as deserved and any loss as unfair, of course. For most of the second half I thought that the Blues had the game. While being still being hopeful, I didn't see the Reds scoring...

Reds v Blues, Round 11 2013, Attack of the Attack?

Definitely. Gave a good interview at the end, too.

Reds v Blues, Round 11 2013, Attack of the Attack?

Yeah, saw that too. Thought that Joubert was ok, my one criticism is that he just let too much go. That was one example, there were quite a few more at the rucks where I thought he could have penalised either team. The Blues were great, they held the ball really well but just couldn't...

Bulls vs Waratahs - Super Rugby Rd11 2013

I can't see pro teams sending players in cattle class for any flights more than 4 or 5 hours, especially if they want a quick recovery.

    Reds 2013

Robert Craddock on The Back Page just said a similar thing. He described negotiating with Ioane and his agent as wrestling "a slippery eel". Craddock also claimed that the Reds have covered up some of Ioane's indiscretions at great risk and effort to themselves. Interesting comments, of...

    Reds 2013

The Regatta has always been really inconsistent with clothing standards. I liked it before the renovations, when they were much more flexible. Besides, years ago, I could never understand why someone would go to the Regatta over the RE anyway. Back in the very early 2000s (not too long after I...

    Reds v Brumbies - RD10 2013

To me the ref performance, sure, wasn't great, but it's more of a subplot to the game than the defining story. The game itself was one of the best games this year, and what's more, it was an Australian derby that is usually known for it being a dour, boring, horrible affair with little skill on...

    Reds v Brumbies - RD10 2013

I have seen some unpleasant behaviour from fans at Allianz/Stadium Australia/whateveritiscalledthismonth (once Tah fans on Tah fans, what the hell guys!) and Suncorp. Thankfully, it's been in the minority of times I have been to games. I hope it stays that way. I think that you get the...

    Reds v Brumbies - RD10 2013

Agree about the breakdowns. Breakdowns were a dockyard brawl as the second half went on. I think that Jackson needs to be less hesitant to give penalties, he seems to hesitate and let the moments pass.

    Reds v Brumbies - RD10 2013

McKenzie is a diplomat in that interview. Magnanimous. White gives credit to both sides. Good interview from both coaches.
