I think what we will see is the fringe players in VIC & WA not needing to travel to NSW & QLD to get a chance to show their wares but staying local because of the 3T. I'd still like players returning to NSW / QLD if they chose to and also an U21 3T team so WA & VIC develop.

Yeah but a different topic, and they have simply made best use of their resources and I want fault them for that. My preferred structure will also give the local players a level of comfort they can make the next level without having to travel interstate.

I understand why you say that (short term), but I do not agree with you (long term). Looking at 5 + years Australian Rugby would have far greater development if WA & VIC sucked it up now and selected from local only rather than select from QLD, and NSW. Might be tough at the start and there...

Any answer to - Are WA / Vic fielding their Super side minus the 1 or 2 Wallabies they have? Or are they using 3T as they should be and developing their local stocks with the retained marquee players?
