I think what we will see is the fringe players in VIC & WA not needing to travel to NSW & QLD to get a chance to show their wares but staying local because of the 3T. I'd still like players returning to NSW / QLD if they chose to and also an U21 3T team so WA & VIC develop.

Yeah Bruce, when I re read you post - got what you meant. As for Uni - being robbed after the bell in the semi is my only issue after a cracking game (as they always are).

Bruce, cant argue your post however like you, Quick Hand posts are generally structured and around taking the game in the right direction. Whilst no games were played having it put out there that he's supporting the west in the same way TPN is would have created interest. TPN played no games...

Yeah but a different topic, and they have simply made best use of their resources and I want fault them for that. My preferred structure will also give the local players a level of comfort they can make the next level without having to travel interstate.

I understand why you say that (short term), but I do not agree with you (long term). Looking at 5 + years Australian Rugby would have far greater development if WA & VIC sucked it up now and selected from local only rather than select from QLD, and NSW. Might be tough at the start and there...

Any answer to - Are WA / Vic fielding their Super side minus the 1 or 2 Wallabies they have? Or are they using 3T as they should be and developing their local stocks with the retained marquee players?

    Spring Tour Improvements

Thanks for that, was keen to see the difference since Link took over. I sought the full 12 months last year as I wanted to be sure it included the EOY tour. Yes but I do think it is more to do with Link.

To the statistician. How many tries have we scored in the last 4 months? How many tries did we score in the preceeding 12 months?

The impending Hooper vs Pocock Dilemma

Seb V, I'll pay that come back, well done. We are blessed with 7's, I'm going to let next years form pick the best - only fair way to judge.

QC (Quade Cooper) - (Only IMO) I think the players returned to favour so quickly because he's brutally "open" and honest, his honesty and openness went against him last year. From an outsiders view I didn't see camp Wallaby as a happy camp, recalling a number of posts on gagr not a lot of people did. He came...

Another good game, he simply has varying degrees of good. Average is rare. Poor is very rare.

Sort of off topic (cant find anywhere else to post) - Kafer & To'omua, both play 10 / 12 and can read the game, both come from the Brumbies stable, and I cant remember what Kafe looked like in his mid 20's anybody care to post a look alike comparison?

Thought as much, a bit of insider trading it sounds like. Yeah I'd love to see Manly stand alone, and it possibly could - BUT - the structure your suggesting Nth / Sth / West there is no reason all clubs shouldn't be on board and promote it. It will give their aspiring players something to...

Agreed on the financial side there!! But on the park, are they fielding their Super side minus the 1 or 2 Wallabies they have, or are players returned to their respective states and they take this as the opportunity to develop their stocks and grow the rugby base?

My post wasn't clear, I don't want them standing alone I think they should be in the topical "western area" but that area / team must include players from other clubs as well so it's also development. What I did say difficult and there would be reasons not to do it. As said some clubs could have...

Short and sweet this morning boyo. I think Uni could stand alone, and there are a couple of clubs not far behind who could make a real good fist of it. Probably a lot of reasons why this wouldn't work but I'd like to see Sydney Uni representing west and they must include players from Parra...

Didn't make it to Uni, TK did and he doesn't call it west so it is in the eye of the perspector.

Geography lesson, west is when you have to cross the Spit or Roseville Bridge;). It reads as if this is going to take place after the SS, I think stick with no more than 8 and that 8 includes WA & VIC it is just when they join. Nth Harbour (Manly, Warringah, Norths, Gordon) - Brookie oval. Sth...
