    Wallabies V Ireland, Brisbane

Beale is a decent winger and it could even be JOC (James O'Connor)'s long term position...allegedly.

    Ouch!

Plus it'll be easier to find than the 'other' G-Spot.

No offence taken, Reddy! I have my Robbie Deans Pokemon doll in my hand as we speak and am stroking it in anticipation of a big win against the Oirish. ;) But seriously, that is a good list of young players with enormous potential. If you don't like Robbie Deans (and many don't) then consider...

    Wallabies V Ireland, Brisbane

Indeed. The 2015 squad are playing for the Wallabies now: Robinson, Nau, Slipper, Simmons, Douglas, Pocock, Genia, Cooper, Ioane, Turner, Davies, Horne, Beale, JOC (James O'Connor). Add Higginbotham and you have a quality team right there for 2015, most of them around 25.

I've got a lot of time for Dwyer but I think he's wide of the mark here, perhaps not with his conclusion but with his reasoning, which is that we don't have a sufficient number of good-enough individual players compared to past RWC-winning teams. I'd say Robinson, Nau, Pocock, Elsom (in...

    Wallabies V Ireland, Brisbane

No chance, we're missing some of our most influential players: Robinson, Moore, Nau, Alexander, Horwill, Palu, Genia, Ioane... it just doesn't seem to get better.

    Wallabies vs England, Sydney

England deserved to win. They played better than us and apart from a few trademark tries by us, the Poms were the better backline . Whoulda thunk? The scrums were a huge improvement, but that we were still penalised so often highlights a problem that we may struggle to fix. Many of the scrum...

    Wallabies vs England, Sydney

If the Poms play it tight, then Wobblies by 20. If they toss it about, Wallabies by 30.

    + another 1.

    Wallabies front row

Getting the Poms tired will be a priority this week I reckon. Run them off their feet: move the point of attack from one sideline to the other at maximum pace. No kicking. Reds rugby.

Tom I know you meant that jokingly, but it's worth pointing out that 'picking on form' has two elements to it: picking on form, and remorselessly dropping on form.

I hope not, en_force_er! Dunning to the bench? Riiiight. And Barnes had a good game... why drop him?

Wallabies player of the match VS England (1)

3 - Burgess 2 - Cooper 1 - Mitchell Reds trolls dissing Burgess are merely Reds trolls who would have dissed anyone.

You lost me there, MrMouse. Are you saying that to predict the young Wallabies front row won't get smashed is negativity? Well, that would be a bit too sophisticated for a country boy like me! But if you're saying that we should get our balls out and predict that Daley, Fingers and Ma'afu...

    Wallabies vs England, Perth

Hmmmph. Personally I think all the people predicting that our front row will be smashed by a 2nd string (and 2nd string at best) English front row, just because our players are young and theirs are English, are way out of line. What you're saying in essence is that they'd get smashed no matter...

    Wallabies vs England, Perth

I don't think the Reds players in the Wallabies will harbour the same levels of bitterness towards Barnes as Reds fans do. Reds fans are the new Brumbies fans.

I agree. Deans makes a leftfield selection of an exciting young player and suddenly the moaners are out in force. There's a lot of confident talk on this forum about how different 'our' selection are from Deans', meaning Deans is therefore wrong. Well, one thing we may have fneglected to factor...
