Nope, his issue was total lack of punch and workrate The issue was lack of getting over the gain line and no quick ball, we were off the pace all game Not happy with any loss, but we are rank 3 and the Scots 5, we aren't that far better than them to gift them a free 14 points head start

You need a balance of guys like Mumm are good to have in a team, and Skelton? I think he was the Tahs best lock this season. He is just getting there, he may have been brought through too quickly, but he is becoming an effective, quality lock. Half our challenge is not being prepared to let...

Really? I thought we lacked punch and effort across the park, we were too passive with too many players more bothered about the next play than the current. Game management? What do you actually mean by that? How does game management affect second efforts, workrate off the ball and accurate...

I don't think Hanigan has shown enough physically as I would like, but neither does Fardy excel at getting over that gain line or making dominant tackles It seems clear that Fardy's strength, attacking the ball at the tackle area, isn't a focus for the Wobs. They fan out and don't commit...

Well I reckon Dempsey would have been starting instead of Hanigan if he didn't get injured and everyone could have been whinging about Hanigan's selection on the bench for this game. So to me Dempsey's "path" has actually been slowed. And decent young backrower's? There aren't that many. We...

Dempsey is on the same path as Powell, Perese & Koroibete They are all projects from the last November Tour\last June Powell has had some time, Perese was at the U21s (I am certain without it he would be in the Wobs mix) & Koroibete hasn't made the cut so far. Dempsey gets some time this...

Yeah, Phipps & Gordon have been unlucky

Clearly, but in this team unfortunately he doesn't need to be a super star, just the least crap Consider how bad the others are at carrying that rope that Horne is the viable option

Well his performance on Saturday didn't help either and his defensive work this season is on par with Kerevi and Horne. Unfortunately Hodge so far looks like a guy in his second season

On this years stats Horne is about as good a defender as Kerevi (there are only a couple of percentage points in it), his stats are the average for the Tahs and Kerevi's are about the average for the Reds. Kuridrani's are better and about the average for the ponies (are you seeing any sort of...

Cheika on his selections Horne - effort in camp, workrate Timani - wasn't fit enough Moore - opportunity to start, was always getting a start in one of the three games

I would guess Hanigan, Hardwick and Higgers are still fit

    So is Kuridrani injured?

    Australia v Italy, Suncorp Stadium, 24th June 2017 @ 3:00pm

Hey we can't even get agreement here on how the Wobs should be playing, let alone the Super rugby teams with actual skin in the game. Do we want to play a ball in hand up tempo game? Do we want to play a more structured set piece focus? Do we attack the breakdown or do we fan out committing...

It is an interesting conundrum, the Kiwis have buy in from all the provinces and the play and train essentially the same way. We have this drive for "independence" of the provinces, different styles being played, different scrummaging approaches, fitness etc etc

although many a coach has wished all their players were fighting for a contract all the time, good healthy competition for spots is important but Foley is just so far ahead of the other options at the moment

    The Wallabies Thread

I think if one of the ABs had done what Hooper did, there would have been a far quicker reaction and a better effort to get there. They are the standard all teams are judged

    The Wallabies Thread

Can we add effort to support the ball receiver from a kick as well, all the Kiwis are drilled to get back and be a support option, two wide passes and then that attacker decides whether to continue or kick. Our guys have run 15-20m forward to see a support player Yep, not enough effort to get...

    Australia v Italy, Suncorp Stadium, 24th June 2017 @ 3:00pm

I am sure part of the game plan was to set them back on their heals with a few kicks behind. but the balance wasn't right, they were rushing well and the kick worked; so we over did it and pretty ineffectively.
