Stormers vs Queensland Reds @ Newlands - 2011R08

I don't agree about the Bulls but I agree with everything else. It is basically about respect and a few teams have learnt what happens when you don't respect your opposition. I don't complain about SA refs Paarl. A shit ref is a shit ref and I couldn't care less where they come from.

Add Gene Fairbanks also. He has his critics but Anthony Fainga'a punches above his weight. Burgess also.

    How are World Cups won?

Bruce I did not single you out in my post. If you got that impretion you have my appologies as it was not my intention as I never play the man. It was a response to the whole anti Deans movement.

Played 10 for North Harbour where Link spotted him. I agree about the high ball issue but I am hoping it was just nerves and not somthing more serious. Can't blame a bloke for hoping though.

What to do, 5m out, against a set defense

I don't mind the trying to burrow over tactic but sides are very predictable in that they go the same way each time. I becomes very easy to defend.

    Reds 2011

I agree Spectator but what makes next week against the Bulls interesting is that the Bulls may have the stuffing knocked out of them by the Crusaders. It could be the battle of the wounded. What I am sure all Reds supporters are encouraged about is that what is a squad with good depth on paper...

Super Rugby Ugly 1st XV 2011

Rutlidge is a dead ringer for doctor evil off austin powers. One question Lee. Did you sober up before you got to the reserves bench? :)

Play him in his natural position at ten. It was his first game and he will be better for it so a second chance might also be in order.

Stormers vs Queensland Reds @ Newlands - 2011R08

Interesting stats Paarl. Looks like a close and even battle between these two teams. One game at a time is the only way a team should be managed. Genia is not our captain though. I'm looking forward to this game and if one thing about the Reds is that they can be at their best when they...

Western Force vs NSW Waratahs, 2011R08

The Tahs need the win badly here to get back on track. Sure they have put a couple of scratchy wins on the board in the last couple of weeks but the quest to find that early season form still continues for them. Hodgson is a big loss for the Force but Waugh being ruled out has balanced that...

Stormers vs Queensland Reds @ Newlands - 2011R08

Link is no stranger to selection surprises so this had me thinking of the possibility of swapping Harris and Cooper. The Stormers are going to go at Quade in defence and Harris in the air. They would be mad not too so take the wind out of their sails by swapping them.

    How are World Cups won?

Sounds like we have already lost the RWC and not a minute has been played. It is almost at the point where people want the Wallabies to lose just so they can say "I told you so".

    Wallaby Outside Centre

Ionae as said. It also revolves around where JOC (James O'Connor) plays. If he is selected on the wing three is not going to go into two. All three are showing form and JOC (James O'Connor)'s goal kicking has him in. In this situation my money is on Mitchell drawing the short straw. We all want JOC (James O'Connor) in closer but let's not...

    Wallaby Outside Centre

I would say the players are set but who starts isn't. The squad will be made of the usual suspects plus others. Proven test players are competing against eachother as well.

    Wallaby Outside Centre

Of course you can drop Mitchell. It has been done before. He won't be dropped for Davies though.

    Wallaby Outside Centre

Davies is well on the way to making the squad. As for Mitchell, it all depends on JOC (James O'Connor). If he stays on the wing, the one most likely to unseat Mitchell will be Ionae.

    Brumbies v Highlands MOM

    3. Giteau 2. Smith 1. Alexander If they are going to dick around with selections, get the crab back to fullback so they can start forming a Tamowa, Leleafano combination.
