Reds vs Blues, Suncorp Stadium, 2011R13

Adam Thompson gets the balance in his game between loose and tight spot on. That is what Higgers needs to work on and he has. I would hate to see such a natural athlete constrained too far. The obvious for the Reds is to target the Blues lineout. How far off is Hynes?

    Eddie Jones: Stopping Sonny Bill

If he left the little mans syndrome behind he would be brilliant. His fueding with the ARU was still rumbling during his time at the Reds and it clearly got in the way of his responisibilities to the franchise. His bitchy little spats with Conolly were a good indicator. The Reds were dumb not...

    Rebels v Reds. AAMI Stadium - 2011R12

Did anybody consider there just might be the chance that the Reds were keeping there cards up their sleeves for next week? The Reds got the job done including bonus point without revealing to much. Enough said.

Changing the Culture of a Super Rugby Team

The other to impress me this year is the Clan. I don't know a lot about Jamie Joseph but he seems a good oporater.

Changing the Culture of a Super Rugby Team

The other important factor was that Link was smart enough to adapt to what he inherited, hence the Reds fassed passed running game last year. This year has seen more of a tradition Link style in how they pay. If he had of discarded Mooney's work straight away, we may well have seen a far...

    Eddie Jones: Stopping Sonny Bill

Eddie Jones has a point about the offloads. If he just hit it up hard over the advantage line in the Mortlock mould, recycle quickly and then unleash Fruen on the bent line would be more effective. He overplays the offload. Eddies defencive plan will crash in a heap if SBW is used as the...

    Fainga'a's are flankers

Saia is a backrower out of position but Ant is ok where he is. I like and respect all three of them as players and as people. They all strike me as very grounded, willing to learn and very well grounded. I am sure Mr and Mrs Fainga'a are very proud of their boys and they should be.

    Super 15 Format

That NZ conference is going to be a boody cracker in the comming weeks. Crusaders play the Blues again and Blues play the Highlanders again. These games are going to be crucial in deciding who tops the conference.

    All Black Injury Crisis

I would be forgetting his age and have Brown as Carter's backup. 7 is a problem for you blokes. Plenty of talent but none proven at test level other than Braid and McCaw. Front row and THL are our bogey positions.

Sharks vs Brumbies @ Shark Tank Durban - 2011R12

Sharks are going to have a bit much power this week for the Brumbies. They should be looking to take a bonus point away from this one.

Digby Ioane is a bit of trouble

Storm in a tea cup this whole thing. Digby has admitted it was a silly thing to do and I am sure he will cop whatever punishment he recieves.

    Rebels v Reds. AAMI Stadium - 2011R12

If the Reds had of commited more to the breakdown as they should have, we would have won convincingly and this rubbish about the kickers would be irrelivant. Quade is having some bad form with the boot at the moment but just remember back to the Brumbies game. When you start procrastinating...

    Waratahs vs Force - 2011R12

I can't help but think the Tahs won't get up over the Force in tight. The Tahs might believe in all this bigger is better theory but the Force are a pack that plays well above their weight. That Force back row will will really trouble the Tahs. Ulugia is the weak link but if his throwing is...

Digby Ioane is a bit of trouble

I we seriously buying into the Kiwi bias theory when a Kiwi ref pur Ritchie McCaw in the bin for an offence at the breakdown only last weekend. I have my gripes about the standard of reffing this year but bias, no.

Canes v Reds at the Cake Tin - 2011R11

We were tactically poor. We all know we should commit more to the breakdown against kiwi sides and we didn't. Only two losses for the season so still in good shape and when the boys review the footage they will know exactly what to fix.

Canes v Reds at the Cake Tin - 2011R11

I like the look of that side. Ant Fainga'a probably deserves a rest.

    Rugby - not set pieces

The Rugby Club last night during that Piggies vs Princesses bit. Peter Hynes refers to Radiki Samo as a burnt palm tree. Bloody senastional, pissed myself laughing.

    Brumbies 2012

Sounds like they will need a few more chairs for that coaches box. As if it wasn't already crowded.

Who would be Wallaby captain for RWC if Rocky isn't fit?

Leads from the front and commands respect. That is why I think he should be tried in a captaincy role but not jump straight in as the Wallaby captain. The Force need to begin planning for life after Sharpe and I think that is where he should get the opportunity.

Media alert: Australian rugby union to announce major decision on the future of rugby

I tend to find AFL fans are actualy more appreciative of Union as they admire the skill factor and can relate better with AFL being a highly skilled game also. League generally shits them to tears though.
