So who has played their last test? and who will struggle with the cattle back?

Exactly. 10. Barnes 12. Giteau 13. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) Don't see the problem.

    New Blood

Was browsing Wallaby history at www.rugby.com.au and became interested in the number of new test players per year. Here's some recent history: 2000 9 2001 6 2002 9 2003 5 2004 6 2005 14 2006 8 2007 5 2008 8 So, 8 new players in a year is pretty average. It does show how conservative Connolly...

What if Rodzilla comes of the bench and destroys our scrum

What if my time for 100m drops 8 seconds and I get a call up for the centres and with 10 seconds to go I score a try on the sideline but we're 1 point down and I have to kick for goal and it's OVER!! :yay :yay :-[

    Baa Baas V Wallabies

Can anyone name a better rugby side than this one? I don't care who wins, this is going to be amazing to watch.

    Alan Lewis strikes again

If this is Deans Bandwagon thread I just want to say that I'm the designated driver. For all his faults, JO'N's greatest coup was pretending to be sick so that we could choose our coach after NZ chose theirs. Genius!

    Sally Loane

Pickig the first bloke you meet off the street would improve the quality at the NSWRU. If she really is independent, and smart, it's a very good thing.

So who has played their last test? and who will struggle with the cattle back?

Rocky gone? Well, maybe. Brown is dependable in a Xavier Rush mode. Palu blows hot and cold and is injury prone. Mumm is a long-term wallaby but might play lock as much as 6. McM actually lost some ground for me on this tour. When he was nothing but promise, I let my imagination run away. He is...

    The Official Australian 7s Thread

I assume that you were born sometime after Mark Ella retired? We are no good at 7s because - quite rightly in my view - we don't give a stuff. Good for doing what spectator suggests. Tuqiri got a very quick education by playing alongside Latho in the 7s.

    RWC Draw

FROM iRB We bring you reaction from teams in Pool C following the Rugby World Cup 2011 Pool Allocation Draw in the heart of London on Monday. Robbie Deans, Australia Coach "We know now what's ahead of us in three years so I guess it will allow a bit of intrigue and interest for the viewing...

    RWC Draw

Here it is: So, Australia have the easiest pool. We've got two absolute dirt-track games, plus two games that we'd be expected to win pretty solidly. If we win the pool, we play the runner-up in Pool D, which I imagine will be Wales (or Samoa / Fiji). Then, we'd play the winner of ARG/ENG v...

    RWC Draw

Fiji and Tonga are in. Samoa will qualify as Oceania 1.

    RWC Draw

We're getting closer. The draw will happen at 2am EDST. Who will be first to post? WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR: ... AND ... ... AND FINALLY ...

TYS Oz Player of the Year: Wales

If only Mitchell could kick like Ione we might have scored a few more tries.

So who has played their last test? and who will struggle with the cattle back?

No way. Pocock isn't nearly ready for Smith. Maybe late 2009 or 2010 he'll seriously challenge. And the original post is a bit hard on Turner. Watch him tear up on Weds. And we still need Freier, since TPN needs time to lose 20kgs and move to centre. Agree about Waugh, Mortlock, Cordingley...

TYS Oz Player of the Year: Wales

McM exposed himself a little in this game. I reckon Elsom would have been very useful.

TYS Oz Player of the Year: Wales

No-one was good for 80 minutes. I'm tempted to give 3 to Dean Mumm, but I'll go with: 3. Ione 2. Giteau 1. Chisholm Thought Tuqiri, Cooper, Sharpe, and Baxter were on the positive side of the ledger, whilst Burgess, Moore and Cross were on the negative.

Gee, this Burgess fellow sounds pretty good, I'd better watch the game ...

How Experimental Law Variations have cut the Six Nations down to size

Being the first person through the gates of the ARC makes me something of an expert at this. As such, I'll repeat my assertion that the free kick sanctions worked best with the hands-in rule. Loved the hands-in rule, was like bringing back rucking, except with the hands. Carry on.

    Baa Baas V Wallabies

Re: Finishing up with the Barbarians at Wembley Holy shit, is that the best XV ever? (Apart, of course, from the AllBlacks team in the semi against the Wallabies in 2003).
