    Lack of manners/respect

Lack of manners/respect: Not going for a drink in the club rooms after a match, especially when you're not playing at home. One thing I would always do, even if it was just one. Turning your back to the Haka before a test match. Very stupid Australia.

    Rebels 2014

Best Rebels-related news I've heard all day. Sounds like Benji's only real option is the Blues: http://www.foxsports.com.au/rugby/super-rugby/super-rugbys-blues-looking-likely-home-for-benji-marshall-due-to-his-desire-to-represent-new-zealand/story-e6frf4qu-1226683890022

    Waratahs 2014

The 'tahs better get their arse in gear and sign Izzy. Looks like NRL may have plans to set up Marquee players outside of the salary cap: http://www.foxsports.com.au/league/the-marquee-player-plan-to-get-superstar-israel-folau-back-in-the-nrl/story-e6frf3ou-1226682446841#.UeqLP0EyYvk And...

Foley resigned withe the 'tahs. Unless he asked for a release (which I think he might) there is no chance of that happening next year.

Looks like Bruce Ross that you may get your wish; GG's Ruck 'n' Maul thinks Todd is off to the Brumbies. Articles also seems to support some of the footnotes about KB (Kurtley Beale) and JOC (James O'Connor)'s behaviour. See (down the bottom): http://www.espnscrum.com/australia/rugby/story/191021.html

Good to see PAE is off to Wakitao for some ITM time this year. Will be good for him when he returns back to the Rebels for next year.

Interesting development here. Apparently we are the dark horse to secure Benji. Raise your hands if you think we can spend the cash more wisely. http://www.theaustralian.com.au/sport/rugby-union/rebels-favoured-to-sign-code-hopper-benji-marshall-after-nrl-talks-fail/story-e6frg7o6-1226680397815

Perhaps his relationship / success with Link might mean some upcoming work with the Wallabies? I hear they are looking for a new coaching coordinator. Still, sounds like he would be a good pick-up for the Rebels :)

Dumbledore I'd too shut bunnies if we lost him; he's a beast and future star. We signed him and English through to the end of the 2016 season. See: http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-union/union-news/jones-english-resign-with-rebels-20130523-2k2k1.html

    Rebels 2013

As much as it would be interesting to hear it, I think now since he's left the club we just let it go. Sure he's probably done some stupid things, but bringing them up now is not going to really help him deal with the issues he has now. Having said that I've he's done anything illegally then let...

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

If he can fit under the NSW salary cap with Beale, Izzy and all the other Wallabies in the squad it will be a total face of the salary cap system. It appears he is leaving the Tigers over money so I can see NSW offering him a stack of cash. For the ARU to offer him any money would be even more...

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

Looks like you may have another convert...Benji Marshall. My money is on the Blues. http://www.news.com.au/sport/nrl/benji-marshall-requests-wests-tigers-release/story-fndv39ms-1226679802207

And Rob Clarke retorts to the 'amateurish" Issac Moses... http://www.news.com.au/sport/rugby-gold/melbourne-rebels-at-odds-with-kurtley-beales-manager-over-handling-of-stars-contract-talks/story-fndptz3t-1226679763357 *grins* I like how this guy has a way with words and knows how to handle...

This coming from a player-manager with such a high reputation or ethical and transparent behavior - Melbourne Storm anyone? Why didn't he announce that Beale was not ever going to return before the Rebels if he knew 10 days ago?
  16. oztimmay

    Where did we go wrong?

My 2c: Like KevinO said JOC (James O'Connor) should not have been at 10. Perhaps on a wing, but not as a playmaker. He's a ball runner for god's sake. KB (Kurtley Beale) should not have been out of rehab and in the team. He's going through some series life-altering adjustments and he didn't really need the pressure of...

    Rebels 2014

I would agree. There has been a big changes since the SA events and I think the most significant one is Rob Clarke. He's inherited a small shit sandwich, but he is showing strong leadership and making tough calls to get us on the right track.

    Rebels v Highlanders Rd 20

I meant the other Scott :). He went off after and was replaced by Jordy (who had a good game too)

Also, does anyone have a status update on Scott's injury?

    Rebels 2014

Who do we need to replace Beale and JOC (James O'Connor)? We've got wonderful players in the positions they covered. I'd rather use the money to top up their contracts (Woodward especially) and start to develop some home-grown talent. As has been disused before we could do with another inside centre to...
