    VRU 2013

So I read on the ol' twittersphere that the Box Hill / Kiwi Hawthorn (Booroondara) trial merger is no longer? Last I heard it was only a proposal, looks like I didn't keep myself in touch with he developments on this. As a Box Hill man I'm glad my club is still around after this. Any insight...

ASICS partners with Australian Rugby Union from 2014

Sorry, should re-phrase. '99 RWC vomit jersey i refused to buy. Wore my old vintage Wallabies training jumper, complete with Schweppes badge on it. '03 finally upgraded to a CCC yellow in time for the AUS vs IRL Test in Melbourne '13 - figure it's time for an upgrade, but I really wish...

    Western Force 2014

He'd have to do it through not _directly_ associated with Seven Media, otherwise Ten and FoxSports are bound to have a meltdown. Caterpillar be an option; get the mining flavor and Kerry's petty cash tin.

    JOC (James O'Connor) Gooonne

I don't thing his ego will allow him to take a 'humble pie' deal with the ARU or force. He wants to grow his profile, presumably in OZ, so realistically the only option is to switch codes. The Bulldogs are looking to recruit to cover Ben Babara at FB and JOC (James O'Connor) would be IMO a good FB fit for League.

    JOC (James O'Connor) Gooonne

First stage of my prediction. Off to the Bulldogs and plenty more time with KB (Kurtley Beale) and Buddy. A real shame to see the talent gone, but the game is bigger than just one player.

James O'Connor signs with West Harbour. WTF?

BOOM! https://twitter.com/JamiePandaram/status/385536544355799040 Just like I predicted. Next thing we'll seem him sign with League.

    Pumas v Wallabies, Rosario, 5th October 2013

Yep, totally don't understand why we have two reserve 5/8 on the bench, especially when you boot the only try scorer from last weekend (CFS) from the team. With Genia selected they have signaled they want more ball in hand, just hope they've remembered how to hold the bloody thing. Last week's...

    Western Force 2014

With RaboDirect already sponsoring the greatest team in the competition, I think too much bank saturation wouldn't be the right fit for their brand. Besides CommBank already sponsor a LOT of sport and might not be keen for one of their subsidiaries sponsoring another code in such a major form...

ASICS partners with Australian Rugby Union from 2014

Urrh, don't remind me of those horrible Reebok jerseys. I've hung onto my RWC 2003 jersey long enough, think I can smell an upgrade coming along.

I'm just waiting for the $20 Wallabies jersey fire sale on the KoogGa online store in the next couple of weeks.

Damm. Not good news. You would think one of the mining companies would get behind the team?

James O'Connor signs with West Harbour. WTF?

Guessing they may add a few more behavioral clauses / KPIs for JOC (James O'Connor), i.e. no more tanties in public because you didn't get your seat. With Buddy going to the Swans and BK settling back into 'tahland my money is still with him switching to the Bulldogs.

James O'Connor signs with West Harbour. WTF?

Yes, the substance test centre known as Essendon were looking to recruit him. Think he saw sense and realized that would be a terrible decision to play AFL with them, let alone at all. I wonder how their recruitment manager will go for the next few years trying to convince potential recruits...

James O'Connor signs with West Harbour. WTF?

It would be a challenge to remove it, but I think it must be allocated proportionately on relative needs, i.e. in time when it's required (poor performance, low crowd attendance) then the AFL invest more money, in good times then remove the sucking pig from the proverbial AFL teat. If you look...

James O'Connor signs with West Harbour. WTF?

Short answer, no. They'll be making news for all the wrong reasons.

James O'Connor signs with West Harbour. WTF?

Without quoting an authoritative source it's intended purpose, when it was set up all those years ago, was to support new players establishing a home base in the tough property market of Sydney. With the price of property fairly relative between Melbourne and Sydney these days some are now...

James O'Connor signs with West Harbour. WTF?

AFL are investigating the deal right now. Sounds like they aren't happy with the 9% living in Sydney allowance wasn't intended to be used in the way they are using it for Buddy. and a 9 year deal? Seriously, no one in ANY sport is EVER that good.

James O'Connor signs with West Harbour. WTF?

A calculated hunch. 4 out of 5 soup teams don't want him and the last one isn't banging down the door to sign him. If they do he will have to a massive slice of humble pie; perhaps a serving too far? Bulldogs are looking for a fullback, he could feasibly play that position in league and he...

James O'Connor signs with West Harbour. WTF?

$10 says JOC (James O'Connor) will be swapping pirates for bulldogs next year.

    Brumbies 2014

And a massive kick up the arse for the ARU. That articles states he's happy with the deal from the Brumbies, but the ARU are playing stooge on the top-up payments. This is what happens when you bend the rules for League imports. If the ARU want to save money they should let JOC (James O'Connor) head off to...
