Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

To be fair, I don't really expect a half-back to bring down a rampaging loose forward anyway, I expect them to have a go and maybe slow them down and if they get bumped of trying well that's expected.

Jessie Mogg has red hair so that explains that. But what about Beale?

    RWC: Australia v Fiji - 23 September 16:45, Millenium Stadium(24 September 1:45 AEST)

Thats what I said! But if they lose to England then they have no choice but to start their strongest side against us. (if there goal is to progress which it surely is).

    RWC: Australia v Fiji - 23 September 16:45, Millenium Stadium(24 September 1:45 AEST)

I think it will depend on if they beat England or not. They will want to try and progress so if they lose against England they will have to go for another upset against us. If they cause an upset and beat England, then I would bet they would rest a heap of guys against us and target Wales...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

You'd think overseas experience would do him good in terms of development, maybe not as good as super rugby but you'd think it would certainly be better then NRC. Plus exposure to a whole different style and coaching set-up you'd think would be great for him. Bad choice by the Reds IMO -...

    RWC: Australia v Fiji - 23 September 16:45, Millenium Stadium(24 September 1:45 AEST)

I like the sound of Nakarawa although haven't seen him play before. My view on Fiji is that they always have a couple of world class players, a handful of competitive solid players, and then a couple of players who are barely professional and are just filling in. It's certainly a diverse...

More like Scotland against the All Blacks. Lots of our Wallabies would be 2nd or 3rd choice in the All Blacks Squad. Some of those Fiji tight 5 players wouldn't be 6-7th choice in the wallabies.

I think your right about Phipps and Foley - although there is a slight amount of doubt in my mind. I think it's a different story for To'omua and Gits though. They have had plenty of game time and I think Cheika knows what he can get out of them. If he prefers To'omua it would certainly make...

He also ended the super xv in poor form for the same reasons, which is why Genia started the first test. It has started to worry me that he hasn't improved over this test season, and I think Genia has improved. I would have put my money on Phipps to start as his up-tempo game has been great...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I agree with @jolly swagman. I have a funny feeling they already selected the halves pairing for Fiji BEFORE the USA test, and would not change despite the outcome of the test. And that could very well have been Genia, Cooper and To'omua. It certainly fits the rotation strategy they are implementing.

I'd put money that Skelton will be on the bench. Cheika loves him. Not sure you can say Horne has "strike power", certainly isn't any better then AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) and Mitchell in attack. Defence and commitment another story.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

It's not a about being bullied out of it but more in the lines of creating opportunities the most effective way. For example if the game plan is to play with ball in hand, but as the game pans you realise the fullback is always out of position and our line-out is dominating - then why wouldn't...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I think this highlights a problem with the wallabies for the last 5 years. They have all the skills to execute multiple game plans but they fail at adapting to the opposition especially when the current game plan is being nullified by the opposition. Seems to me like players are unwilling to...

well that pretty much destroys my theory then! Seems to be a good idea by Cheika then to play an entirely different 15 against Uruguay. Hope our guys stay injury free against Fiji.

All Blacks are pretty lucky that they have such a weak group which I think will certainly help reduce injury risk. It's basically 3 warm-up matches and a bit of a Test against Argentina.

Surely it would be Savea or Naholo not both. Lots of talk that Savea isn't performing well - I think he's going okay but certainly not his destructive self. I always thought Hansen was risking Naholo in case Savea doesn't start performing, so he has a like-for-like strike winger he will inject...
