3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

Everyone has explained that the players are on a payroll, so their employer can say where they should play. A timeline line is like a target or goal - most successful businesses (employers) have them, placing a time line or a goal on this may speed up the process. Next review I'm going to tell...

After watching the Manly v Uni colts GF - it is good quality rugby. A number of players from both teams played grade this year as well.

Have an U21 team in the 3t may assist.

3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

Yep, simple model and it shouldn't be set in stone, but it has a goal and with each year that goes by we get one step closer, the U21 provides a pathway to achieving this as that age group will then have a state team playing against other rep teams in the 3T.

Well there we go, i think there is a very strong arguement for 4 teams.

3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

I'm interested in the WA & VIC model though - I want to see them succeed and get stronger over the coming years so they can select from within rather than have just 2 states providing the pathway. WA & VIC will have the benefit of support and funding from the ARU, oops sorry about that the...

QH if Uni are alone, awe have Nth Harbour, and then Sth, Easts, Wicks join together - does there need to be a 4th team to capture Parra, Penrith, Wests, and Eastwood?

3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

Just extracting an important component; There is always a common thread to; try and tear down success. to look for excuses. That is wrong, in all works of life, if we lined ourselves to success we would all improve, enough of that. As I've said I have no issue Uni Standing alone, but it may...

3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

I understand that thought, a bit like Dingo picking the players who always say yes. I hope that doesn't happen, I want to see the best rugby players playing entertaining rugby. I think there'd probably be 23 - 30 players in the squad developing keeping the pressure on the starting team. I...

So true - North Harbour V those Eastern Suburbs princes on the Southern side of the Hbr.

3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

Will there though - it is a completely separate comp. If a player is playing First Grade at Randwick, why would he go to Uni and play second or third grade when the first grade player is going to be first picked for the 3rd Tier, who knows there maybe even a better player than him at Easts who...

Uni deserve the right to stand alone and we all should be congratulating them for that. I don't think it would be good for the game if they did though. Uni might provide 90 - 95% of the players, but if this team played at Parramatta Stadium as an example, and it was great entertaining rugby...

    Shute Shield 2014

Spot on coach, I think we may only have one crack at this. I'd want to see it work. It appears WA / VIC / ACT will field one 3T team and it will be strongly supported by their respective Soup team players they employ, and the fan base. NSW & QLD are creating new entities, I definately don't want...

All I'm saying is the best players should be picked.

    Shute Shield 2014

The Shute Sheild goes from Apr to Aug it is one comp competing against Subbies, and Super. All clubs should be focusing on that or they should step aside. It's also selection for; Then the NRC starts in Aug and the teams are selected on form. If you are a good enough player playing for...

    Shute Shield 2014

It should be a rep team and you need to earn selection, as I said above; imagine the Tahs selecting 2 players from each SS team, or, the Wobs having to select 6 players from each Soup team. Not aware of all clubs balance sheets, or the required funding at this stage. If all clubs are...
