One of those blury boxes that one - bit like a super player who graduated from club rugby up to Super Rugby then he's selected by his Pacific Island team because he'd never crack the wobs. He is then called a marquee player - I don't agree with that. (off topic sorry).

Instead of going of shore, pick from your local comp to develop. In an early post you suggested maybe just 50% from the Force, this post suggest considerably more.

IMO what is best, and the reason why WA, and VIC possibly put in an EOI into the 3T is so they can then develop their own players from within their comp and thus strengthen and create a greater depth within Aus rugby. And thus not having to continue to pilfer from NSW & QLD, whilst they draw...

3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

That's not being a cynic, that is reflecting on the obvious - whilst it will develop new players surely some criteria needs to be placed on starting players from WA & VIC. But the math to say "if 50%" I simply can't understand how that is arrived at. Are they interpreting the 3T criteria...

Serious, at best there are a handful of Wallabies from the Rebs and / or the Force. Both franchises say they own the players and will not relenguish them back to there premership / shute clubs - so where seriously do you think they'd play then? Squad of 35 (inc EPS), less 5 Wob's = 30, there...

^^ yes QH - the ARU is seeking input from the stake holders, and this will provide vested interest. First appearance seemed vague, disjointed, and unorganized at the start but as its developed a very smart approach.

I beg to differ, I think it comes down to a number of years of questionable decisions, expenditure and coach. Now with Bill the processes are very different, at the start I was doubtful now I'm interested / starting to like. He's really put the 3t in the hands of the stake holders, and said...

Like it Bruce. QH used the word foundations, in some ways the ARU tendering process is ensuring it is being built with a core interest from within. In my eyes this will ensure solid fou....

I had thought that some sort of financial return would have gone back down to the entity that was creating revenue through catering - but do not know.

The point I was looking to make, (On the park) there is a huge comparison to a start up joint venture and a professional team that has been playing since Feb. (Off the park) A professional board, medical staff, professional coaching, and general infrastructure all on a super payroll that will...

TWS - true, but the survival of the new teams will require gate and sponsorship. Unlike the 3T teams in VIC, WA and to a lessor extent the ACT, they want have the financial support of that the ARU which will no doubt be filtered through the Force, Rebs, and Brumbies.

Don't most household already have Foxtel. Not sure when the AFL, and NRL season finishes, it is thought the 3T will be played after these comps so competition will be limited. I'm hoping the majority of games are played in the afternoon, so the family can go much like they do with the Shute...

If there are 4 NSW teams I'm sure Uni will be one of them, if there are 3 I hope the are part of a JV and not standing alone - I hope there are for 4 NSW teams. Supporter Base - one of a number of boxes Manly would tick if they put up a tender to stand alone, and sound reason why i hope Nth...
