I feel like the Darwin analytics are overplayed. He admits that two 9/10 players who have never played together will still likely outperform two 7/10s that play week in week out. We arent producing 9/10s so even if we achieved Ireland levels of cohesion I'm not sure we'd be that much better.

I don't think so. I think if you want to win the comp you need a fullblown, heavy bodied lock. The last time we won we had Jackpot, Douglas and Skelton. Holloway and Hanigan are great but not a locking combo that a title can be built on.

Age does not automatically equate to experience. He seems like a very good prospect. My only reservation is, as Wamb points out, that he isn't the biggest lad. Plenty of smaller loosies make it in rugby, though. At the very least he'll be a big asset to the Tahs. Tahs have a stacked backrow...
