    Wallabies Trinations Squad

That leaves no cover for 7. Samo could cover 4,5,6 and 8 or just 6 and 8. Hodgo covers 6,7 and 8. I doubt Higgo will be on the bench. He will start in place of Elsom when needed or not be in the 22.

    Wallabies Trinations Squad

Hodgeson is such a versatile player that he must be ahead of Robinson. He is definitely a better 6 and 8 and most likely a better 7 at this stage as well. Take nothing away from Robinson as he has had a great year. Hodgo is the ultimate bench player. What a back row Elsom, Pocock and Samo...

    Wallabies Trinations Squad

This is it for RD. Many Kiwis and Australians will argue that his results are poor and his winning percentage is one of the worst of recent Wallaby coaches. However it has always been about building towards the RWC later this year for Deans. He will field the best possible squad when the...

    Wallabies Trinations Squad

They could then have a bench of TPN/Moore Alexander/Slipper Vickerman Samo Hodgson Burgess McCabe It's a pretty decent looking bench!

    Wallabies Trinations Squad

If the Wallabies start with 9.Genia 10.Cooper 11.Ioane 12.Giteau 13.AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) 14.JOC (James O'Connor) 15. Beale then there is absolutely no need to have a back-up 5/8 on the bench as there is already 3 other 5/8s on the park. The two reserve backs could be Burgess and an outside back, maybe Turner or...

The Elsom Saga - Clubs withdrawing offers is all the rage...

It would be nice to see him signed with Melbourne through 2013 and to have gotten past his injury problems. The Rebels is a no-brainer for him and them, particularly with Yoda retiring. They need some stiffening up in the pack and defensively to compliment their recent recruiting in the backs.

The Elsom Saga - Clubs withdrawing offers is all the rage...

No-one could have for-seen that his injury would have lasted all year but once it became apparent that he was not mending and that this may lead to his position being questioned then maybe someone at the ARU should have stepped in to try and avoid the train wreck. It has to be the first time...

The Elsom Saga - Clubs withdrawing offers is all the rage...

Maybe or maybe not. Certainly someone within the ARU should have seen this situation coming and taken steps to avoid it. In a world cup year it is a distraction that could be done without. Hopefully the Tahs or Rebs will announce his signing in the very near future.

The Elsom Saga - Clubs withdrawing offers is all the rage...

We are talking about the current Wallaby skipper here. There is a shit load of negative feeling(regarding Rocky) here amongst some of the Wallabies most dedicated supporters. That cannot good. He is notorious for keeping his cards close to his chest when negotiating a contract and I am...

    TPN gone for 3N...

Without meaning to be cynical, that's the only way he ever plays for the Wallabies and it usually doesn't last too long.

I don't mean it be a criticism. Let's face it, Victor has some days that are better than others and his body has taken quite a beating over the years. I have read many times about him not having to train before a match just so he could front. And front he always does.

The Elsom Saga - Clubs withdrawing offers is all the rage...

There doesn't appear to be much confidence in him making it back in any sort of decent physical shape. While JON and Deans are harping on about there being no question as to who will captain the Wallabies at the RWC, I think they are full of it. Of course there are huge question marks over him...

    Sitaleki Timani

Most likely. He looks to have a good skill set and could probably play anywhere in the back 5. The RWC may be too soon for him in the Wallaby squad in which case he will be lost to Tonga. It's hard to see Robbie Deans selecting him ahead of Vickerman and his established Wallaby locks right now.

    Sitaleki Timani

He has a very good future ahead of him in Australia if he wants. There is also Dan Vickerman back in the picture for the next few years at least. Our lock stocks look pretty healthy for the first time in a long while. His future may lie at 6 or 8, where we also have some other very good young...

    Sitaleki Timani

It would be the Samo saga all over again. Mind you Samo looks to be on the cusp of a miraculous recall in a world cup year. Timani does have all the attributes to become a dominant test lock.

The one he will create if the Wallabies win the RWC and go on to defeat the B&I Lions under his captainage (is that a word?). Rocky is a cut above Saffy, Delve, Mowen and Dennis. Someone will pick him up.

The Rebels make a lot of sense as he is from Melbourne and they need another senior player in the pack with Somerville leaving. I'm sure he also has giving the Lions a tilt in the back of his mind, particularly if the Wallabies go well at the RWC this year. His legacy as captain and all of that.

    The JOC (James O'Connor) Saga

It is more than a little presumptuous to include franchise recruiting policy adjustments in your contract conditions. JOC (James O'Connor) is an amazing talent on the rugby pitch but he should not place himself too high on a pedestal and assume he knows how to run the Western Force better than those who...

    Berrick Barnes takes a break

Sad news for him and all Wallaby supporters. Hope you can get yourself right and come back in the near future BB. It has been a pleasure watching you play the game.

    Wallaby Injuries

He has only played 7s for NZ and is elligble for the Wallabies.
